Dear Mercy Community,

As we enter the season of gratitude, I am filled with appreciation for the blessings that have been bestowed on Mercy High School this fall. We celebrated a fantastic season for our varsity soccer team, which culminated in a CIAC Class M State Championship win. We presented two stellar performances of our fall play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. We enjoyed an exceptional feature on the television show Great Day Connecticut and have congratulated two seniors (so far) who have committed to playing for Division I college teams. And thankfully, we honor our traditions including the Freshwomen Pin Ceremony, Junior Ring Mass, Walk-a-Thon, and Thanksgiving pie baking. These accomplishments are born from hard work and a commitment to our values and are a testament to both what Mercy girls can achieve and the strength of our community.

This Mercy community is exceptional in terms of being engaged and committed to the growth of this school. Your thoughtful and constructive feedback allowed us the conviction to establish our vision and mission statements last year, and to work through a strategic planning process this year. Several of you participated in focus groups, and many of you completed our online surveys, which were focused on imagining the future of Mercy High School. 

Using the feedback from our constituents, we developed our focus and crafted a strategic plan to enhance the following aspects of our program:

• Mission and Catholic Identity
• Academic Excellence and Student Growth
• Operational Vitality in Marketing, Admissions, Advancement, Facilities, Finance, Leadership and Governance.

Our goals are dynamic and evolving, with the leadership of their completion in the hands of our talented team. This group will meet regularly to assess and communicate our progress, and we look forward to providing you with updates. For a summary of the strategic plan, please click here.

Our school is fortunate to have exceptional faculty and staff to chart our course and set our strategic plan in motion. We will advance the mission of Mercy High School for the benefit of its current students and for generations to come.

I am continually amazed by the strength and support of this community and know that you are cheering on the success of this institution. Thank you for all your kindness each and every day. I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joy-filled Thanksgiving.
