Let's go Mercy, the Community Donation Drive is underway now through May 1st!
This year Mercy is faced with yet another major challenge because all activities, including fundraisers, are currently at a halt. As a result, the annual Sweepstakes Drive, which we use to directly pay expenses and enhance programs that tuition alone does not cover, has been modified to the
Mercy Community Drive
. With the current unprecedented situation, there will not be tickets to sell. Instead, we are asking that each and every family still contribute $175, or more when possible, per student to uphold their Enrollment Agreement.
We can accomplish the Mercy Community Drive goal together and keep Mercy strong to serve young women into the future. The world needs women of Mercy today more than ever! If you have any questions, please contact Gina Gray at
ggray@mhsmi.org

COMMUNITY SERVICE OUTREACH
|
As part of our Mercy value of service, we are reaching out to the community with two service projects in the event you are interested.
Do You Have Needed Supplies?
We are enormously grateful for our ability to react to the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis and the support we were able to provide for continued student instruction. Much of this preparedness is due to the partnership we have with the Farmington Hills Police and Fire Department. Over the past two years, these emergency service teams have unselfishly helped Mercy administration to further strengthen our emergency operations plan. At this time,
our friends working in Farmington emergency services need our help
.
- 3M or Honeywell half masks and/or cartridges (even expired would be accepted).
- Any NIOSH approved canisters or filters (N95, P95, P100)
- Thermometers, disposable gloves and disinfectant wipes
If you are able to donate, please deliver items to 31455 W. 11 Mile Road, Fire Station 5. Donations may be left in the vestibule.
Perhaps you, or someone you know has connections to a business they may be able to assist in procuring such items. Please contact
psattler@mhsmi.org
with any help you may be able to provide.
Can you sew? Do you know of a facility in need?
Some Mercy teachers are coordinating the construction and delivery of medical masks to our local first responders and medical personnel in need. We're specifically looking for people who can sew on a machine and have or are willing to purchase basic materials; however, we may also need people to help coordinate or deliver masks.
Do you want to help? Do you have a sewing machine and can lend your skills? Do you know of a facility in need? There are more and more everyday. Please complete forms below and someone will contact you to follow up.

Thank you to Campus Ministry for hosting an online virtual prayer service to honor all the amazing healthcare workers, first line responders, and those serving our communities. Here is the opening prayer which was followed by music, candle lighting, Gospel reading, petitions and reflections.
The state of our daily lives is unparalleled, yet You remain the same. We scramble to react and prepare for an unprecedented situation in the medical field. Healthcare workers are facing unimaginable circumstances at this critical moment in history. While many of us have been inconvenienced in both minor and devastating ways, the brave individuals who continue to go to work to fight the pandemic on the front lines face a difficult and scary daily reality.
For those facing COVID-19 head on, their family and friends wait in the wings in dedicated prayer lingering each day for promises of hope and healing for our nation and our world. When we picture them, let us know unequivocally they are a child of the one True God, created with purpose to bring glory and honor to Your name. We lift our healthcare and other essential workers up to You, God.
