Mercy Wins 21-17 over St. Catherine in 2nd Annual Powderpuff Football Game

In front of a spirited crowd, Mercy's Class of 2025 won the second annual powderpuff football game 21-17 over St. Catherine. This brings Mercy's record to 2-0 for this annual tradition. The Marlins defense held St. Catherine to 17 points and made a critical fourth down stand to end the end of the game. A big shout out to our incredible student section, Cheer, Pompon, Mercyaires, DJ Invisible and all the fans for creating an electric atmosphere! NEW DATE for Fall Member Meeting: Monday, November 4 in the Mercy Cafeteria

If you’d like to enjoy dinner and drinks before the meeting at 6:30pm, we kindly request a $20 donation to help cover expenses. If you prefer to attend just the meeting starting at 7:00pm, there’s no charge. We'll be discussing volunteer and committee opportunities and upcoming events for MMC members to get involved. Contact mercymothersclub@mhsmi.org with any questions.

Euchre Night: Saturday, November 9 at 6:30pm in the Mercy Cafeteria

Enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks starting at 6:30pm, with card games beginning at 7:00pm. The entry fee is $25 per player, and you don’t need to come with a partner—we’ll randomize the tables for a chance to meet and mingle. This event is open to everyone, so feel free to invite family and friends! We’ll have prizes for the top three scores, a 50/50 raffle, and Mothers' Club merchandise available for purchase. If you do not want to play, but would like to help make this event a success, we are looking for volunteers.

Sponsor a Christmas Tree, Wreath & Ornament!

We are decking the hall of Mercy! Sponsor a tree, wreath or ornament on behalf of a family, student, alumna, Mercy club/team, or business.

The Mercy Mothers' Club is excited to continue the Sponsor a Christmas Tree program again this year. The look of joy on the faces of students, staff and visitors while the trees were going up last year was priceless!

We are expanding the number of Christmas trees placed throughout the building.

In collaboration with the Office of Mission & Ministry, we are adding a Jesse Tree in the Reception Area. The Jesse Tree tradition is rooted in Isaiah 11:1: “A shoot shall come out of the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.” There will be 25 ornaments on the tree, with each displaying a symbol and bible verse documenting the timeline leading up to the birth of Jesus. Each of the 25 ornaments will be a sponsorship opportunity. Proceeds from the Jesse Tree ornaments will directly benefit the KAIROS Retreat.

All sponsors will be commemorated in a framed standing plaque next to their tree or wreath for this upcoming holiday season. Proceeds from trees and wreaths will benefit Mercy High School.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Three 9' Trees ~ $500 each

Three 7' Trees ~ $350 each

Two 30” Wreaths ~ $250 each

25 Jesse Tree Ornaments ~ $200 each

Please contact Mercy Mothers’ Club Executive Board member Kristin Bell at kebell522@yahoo.com if you are interested. Thank you for your support!

Yearbooks are available for purchase online here with code 13826.

Place a Yearbook Ad

The Lore Yearbook staff is very excited to capture memories of the year for our students, especially this year’s Senior Class.

Within Lore every year, the families of the graduating class have the opportunity to purchase ads to celebrate their students with a personalized message and photo. This opportunity is available again this year. Ads must be purchased by December 8, 2024 to appear in the yearbook, so don't delay!

There are various sizes and price options for these ads, ranging from a full-page ad ($325) to a sixteenth-page color ($25). To design and purchase an ad for your graduating senior, please visit the order website (job number: 13826) and follow these instructions:

  1. Choose the size ad you would like to create.
  2. Select student when prompted for whom to buy the ad.
  3. Enter your student’s name. Please use her full name as it appears on PowerSchool, not a nickname.
  4. Choose whether you would like to create the ad online or send the message and photos to the Lore staff to make the ad.
  5. Follow all of the prompts and instructions to complete the ad.

Please feel free to contact the Lore Yearbook staff with any questions at mercylore@mhsmi.org.
