Building Project Update

We are excited to report that the addition is now completely closed in! Wiring is ongoing and dry walling has begun. NHEC has nearly completed our electrical upgrade that will allow us to run an elevator and new HVAC system. If you’ve visited the library recently, construction has been very noisy as crews are starting to break through from the addition to the current building. There’s a large hole in the basement hallway for an elevator entrance.

We have a video walk-through of the addition available. We are finally able to walk around inside it! It is so exciting to see the space and envision the new

services we will be able to offer the community.

Our timeline has been adjusted slightly. We’ve had some delays due to some on the construction team contracting COVID. All have thankfully recovered. We are currently slated to move into the addition some time in June with project completion some time in September.

Snow Story Time

Join Miss Karen on the front lawn of the library for story time on Weds. March 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31

Please make a reservation as we can only have 15 children with their grown-ups. Come prepared, if it is super cold or rainy, story time will be cancelled. Bring a sled, chair, blanket and wear your outside gear.

Let’s read stories, play in the snow and have a craft to go. Please bring your own snack.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Visit the children’s room in March! We will have assorted teas and cookies for you to pick up, collect your books and a special craft to take.

Have a tea party at your house, take pictures and share them with the library. We will also give you tea and cookies curbside if you like.

There are international and foreign language magazines as well. Want to see all available titles? Use Advanced Search to search just by format “Overdrive Magazines”. You can then use the limiters on the left to narrow by category, age or language or simply browse through all of the titles. With AcornTV you can watch popular British shows such as Agatha Raisin, Doc Martin and George Gently as well as films and documentaries. Go to the Great Courses and check out new releases such as: Native Peoples of North America, World War II the Pacific Theater and How To Sing, just to name a few.
