SPOTLIGHT
Meridian Freedom Fest
Beginning Friday, June 9, and lasting through Sunday, June 18, Meridian Township will honor Juneteenth with a multi-event celebration to commemorate and bring awareness to this historic day.

The Meridian Freedom Fest will educate and engage community members of all backgrounds. Events will include movie screenings on the Meridian Historical Village lawn, the inaugural Blues & Jazz Festival, and a historical review of spirituality in the Black community.

*These events are free and open to the public. The Blues & Jazz Festival will be held at Lake Lansing Park South, which collects vehicle entrance fees.
Memorial Day Closure
Meridian Township's buildings, including the Harris Nature Center, will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, May 30.
Memorial Day Service
Meridian Township carries on its annual tradition of honoring and paying respect to those who have served our nation's military. A Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 29, at 11:00 am at the Glendale Cemetery in Okemos.
Summer Concert Series
The FREE Summer Concert Series is returning to the Marketplace on the Green pavilion (1995 Central Park Drive) for 2023!

The Sea Cruiser's will kick off the series on Wednesday, June 7 starting at 6:00 pm. The Summer Concert Series will run from June through September, in conjunction with the Wednesday Farmers' Market.
Celebrate Meridian Festival
Join us all day June 24 as we kick off the summer with fun-filled festivities! Featuring:

  • Celebrate Teen Night (June 23)
  • Farmers' Market
  • Arts & Crafts Fair
  • Children's Games, Inflatables, and Rides 
  • Meridian Historical Village Tours
  • Nokomis Cultural Heritage Center Tours
  • Live Entertainment 
  • Beer Garden
  • Food Truck Rally
  • Fireworks Finale at Dusk

This festival is free and open to the public.
Village of Okemos Update
On May 9, developers offered an update to the Village of Okemos project.
