Interesting factoid: Ted caught his fish vertical jigging in 21' with a salted shiner. What's cool is he busted out his Humminbird ICE HELIX and video-gamed those fish from the front of the boat while his partner was in the back:

2) Cap'n Ted Peck guided Perry Thomas to his new PB walleye on Mississippi River's Pool 9. Caught throwing a Bill Lewis MR-6 in 6' on wingdams. Btw Ted said there's "enough eelgrass coming down to feed the cows all winter." LOL.

3) TW fan Matt Monson had himself a day 🙌 on Devils Lake, ND running Berkley Flicker Shads on leadcore. Had a pair of 29.5-inchers and one of 'em weighed a thick 11 lbs 4 oz.

Last month I shared a picture of a banded walleye (Top Item #3) and said that it made me wonder if there was anyone out there who had a collection of fishing bands on a Minn Kota lanyard, like you see waterfowl hunters do with their call lanyards. Sure enough I got a message from one fella who had started a collection....

Steve Nelson from ND stacked up 5 bands over a 3-day fishing trip to Lake Oahe by Fort Yates, ND. Said they were pulling cranks in about 12-15' and it was a snaggy mess 'cuz they had to be right next to the flooded brush to get bit. Ended up losing about 50 cranks over those 3 days, but recouped a chunk of that fee after nabbing a $100 reward tag on one of the fish.

The stock PK Rattle Spoons straight-up catch fish – I especially like 'em during early-ice when oxygen levels are still high and fish are hot to trot – but these custom colors have me even more excited-er to tie one on. And pretty cool to see the custom painters venturing into the jigging spoon world....

Funny enough: I filmed a video a few days ago talkin' pitching jigs on shallow sand...haven't had a chance to get it edited yet, but will hopefully be posting it soon. Just caught this Tom Boley video ^^^ this AM and noticed we had several of the same talking points. It's funny how there can be nearly identical bites happening on lakes that are hours apart or sometimes even different states.

Just wanted it to be known ahead of time that I didn't script my next video based on Tom's, and try to rip off his ideas lol. Great Pretty-okay minds must think alike. 🤣

Got the little homie out in the boat with me one more time (hopefully not the last) before the big freeze comes. Water temps had finally dipped into the upper 50s...but this lake still had a ton of green weeds, so we found 'em cruising in 10-14' right where the cabbage/coontail mix tapered off.

We kept a few eater-sized walleyes, and Maisie mustered up the courage to "lip" her first fish = a bonus 12.25" jumbotron. SO stinkin' proud of her! That smile(s) says it all:
