My humans are bustling about putting up decorations and baking yummy goodies for the Holidaze. I have the best time hiding behind the Christmas tree, but with all the new LED lights in our home, I think my hiding places will be discovered soon. I'll have to check with Caspian to see where he hangs out.

It is not news that hackers can make life difficult by accessing our smart digital devices. Risks increase as use of smart devices increases. Give us a call and we can help you secure your digital life.

Here are some helpful tips you can try:

Change default passwords that come with each device. Search online for guides, and follow the password advice on how to make them hard to guess.
Check the permissions granted to mobile apps. Don't let those apps operate in the background.
Limit access to location information.
Use auto-updates whenever you can.
Check that your devices are using the latest firmware.
Keep a list of those devices you allow to access your WiFi. Consider using a security app that links to your router and tracks connected devices.
Disconnect devices you don't use or don't need.
