Message from Mary Adams, Principal of JPII
I think we can all agree that 2020 was a challenging year. So many things changed, and we were forced to learn a new “normal.” Despite it all, we at JPII have many reasons to give thanks.
Our students and adults did their best to adapt to a different way of learning. Whether it was in-person or virtual, what was clear was how much they all wanted to remain part of the JPII community and participate in activities with their friends.
Our staff went above and beyond, pivoting quickly to virtual learning and then back to a combination of in-person and virtual education. Through it all, what shone the brightest was their dedication to providing the best education experience for their students and adults. It was a challenge, but one that they met head-on. There is no staff who cares more deeply for their students and adults than ours.
Our volunteers continued to be there for us, tending to our gardens, meeting via Zoom and sending us messages of encouragement and support. They checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed as we navigated new territory.
Our donors provided the gifts that ensured that we could continue our mission and be available for our students and adults. We are always grateful for your support, but this year each gift brought on even more significance and importance.
So, as we look forward to a brighter and healthier 2021, we must take a moment to thank everyone who helped JPII over this past year. We are grateful for your ongoing support and belief in our mission, and we look forward to celebrating much more in the coming year.
