Christmas Season is Here!

The Holidays are upon us and we are gearing up for the winter season! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a blessed Christmas and New Year with friends and family.

Mulled Wine

This past month we welcomed our wine club members to come pick up their wine and enjoy some great food and great times.

Winemaker Chaz made a mulled wine using our Petoskey Red, and it was a huge hit! It makes a great addition to any holiday get together, so pick up a bottle and use the recipe below!

INGREDIENTS:

1 bottle of Petoskey Red

3/4 c Brown Sugar

2 Clementines or Mandarins, sliced in half & juices squeezed

1/4 C Cranberries, sliced in half

1 Pear, sliced

1-2 Cinnamon Sticks

2-3 whole Cloves

A pinch of Anise Seed

1 whole Star Anise

A pinch of Powdered Cardamom

DIRECTIONS:

Slice Clementines
Slice Cranberries
Put Cloves & Anise Seed in Cheese Cloth
Blend everything together in a pot.
Bring to a simmer, then turn on low & serve immediately!

*Please note spices are per taste - please add more or less depending on your preference

Taking it up a notch at Barista School!

Rachel, Angie and Natalie went to a 3-day coffee training course in Ann Arbor! They learned more about coffee brewing techniques, barista skills, and sensory analysis to further their education, better train our staff, and bring you an even more delicious hand crafted coffee beverage!

A special Note from the Winemaker

We've been getting ready for old man winter by barreling our Reds & Driftwood for a long winter nap. Whites and Rosés are outside to chill and develop wine diamonds. Perry (pear hard cider) and our Port style wine are relaxing and getting ready for their big reveal. We will be bottling '22 Frontenac Noir soon!

Thank you to all of the club members for visiting me & Joey during the pick up parties. We hope you enjoyed the mulled wine and conversations, we sure did!
