Merry Christmas Everyone!
This photo shows the wonderful group of people that made it to our 2018 Christmas party and staff meeting. This group represents some of the people in LightShine but there are many more that are not pictured in this photo.

LightShine Ministries is an inter-denominational ministry. That means the people that work with us (as well as the local churches we help in Alaska) represent a large cross-section of the Body of Christ. They come from all different kinds of churches and backgrounds. Some people call the different perspectives "different streams" of Christianity. Our leadership sees this as one of the strengths of our ministry. We focus on what we agree on and choose to let everything else go. You can read about that on our " What We Believe" page on our website. We encourage you to click on that link and read specifically what we believe.

Make sure you take time to visit our website and view the video we made on our home page showing the work we were able to accomplish in August in preparation for building our first building in 2019. If you haven't read our Christmas newsletter which outlines all the teams that we are planning for 2019, click on the newsletter photo below. You can also see all of this information directly on our website:

We are very thankful for your support after 23 years of working in Alaska.
Our desire to be faithful to what God started 23 years ago. All of us want to "finish well" and hear, "Well done - good and faithful servant" from our King, the LORD Jesus Christ.

Never forget that together we serve Him here on earth by serving others in His Name. Matthew 25:40 says:

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Thank you to all of you who have served with us. Consider joining our LightShine family. 2019 will be another amazing year! Our next staff meeting will be Tuesday evening, January 8, at 7pm at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church.

We bless you and your family in Jesus' Name!
