Dear Friends,
Another year has gone and at the Media Institute of the Caribbean, we have been honoured to help our region's journalists and students to be better prepared to confront the challenges of a constantly changing environment.
Our heartfelt thanks to our donors and sponsors who supported us and who have a commitment to the development of our media landscape and our journalistic fraternity'
our trainers, mentors, presenters and speakers who give of their time because they believe in the ability of our journalists; the admin team at MIC who are always on call when we need them and who do their best to ensure everyone is well taken care of and happy; our partners and well-wishers who play an important role and add to a healthy press freedom environment in the Caribbean; and a BIG THANK YOU and BEST WISHES to our journalists who are constantly doing their best to evolve, adapt and ensure that the right of the public to know is upheld.
We are in an era where media viability is being challenged, the issues of climate change are numerous, we are plagued by disinformation; and AI is redefining the world. Yet, our Caribbean region is blessed in so many ways as we are bound together by a unique spirit of resilience and camaraderie evident in every MIC session.
We look forward to 2024 and the journey with you as we continue to fuel our passion for journalism that makes a difference - one story at a time with the potential to change lives for a better tomorrow.
