Known for his humor and work ethic, he will be missed by many in the community. First COVID vaccine doses administered in Cobb County A critical care nurse at Wellstar Health System became one of the first people in Cobb County to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine Thursday evening. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the vaccine last week. It was the first coronavirus vaccine approved for use in the United States.
