Merry Christmas from HEED!

As Christmas draws near and we look back on 2015,
we are thankful for God's hand  in the ministry,
for our partnerships and in our lives.

A few highlights:

  • Yobel International provided entrepreneurial buisness training  resulting in new businesses and savings planning .
  • A permanent church building opened, built with bricks made by church members.
  • A bus load of villagers was transported to the demonstration site of Connect Africa for training in permaculture farming techniques.
  • A Saturday discipleship program was initiated to teach children about being true followers of Jesus.
  • A school sick bay was opened ushering in a new era of better health for the children.
  • 200 of us gathered at the Edmonds Conference Center for the I SEE YOU film created to share the story of HEED. Click on the link below
  • A field trip to the airport in Kampala helped students aim higher.
  • A HEED staff person in Uganda attended Day's For Girls Sustainable Feminine Hygiene Training, teaching 20 young mothers to make and sell hygiene kits to help support themselves.
  • The High School, just two years old, grew to nearly 100 students.
  • Pastor Julius and Molly welcomed a baby girl named Joy Grace!
  • Mama Julie completed chemotherapy (and begins the next phase of her cancer treatment next year). She will be back to her beloved Uganda very soon!

Thank you for your prayers and partnership in 2015.

Christmas Blessings to you and yours!

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.
