Prayer Partner Alliance
December 2017

Glory be to God! We have received our Certificate of Occupancy for the men's home.  This is what we have been working toward and praying for the past several months!  We have also received final approval from Agency for Persons with Disabilities that the home meets all of their agency standards.  Please join us in rejoicing and giving thanks to God for bringing us one step closer to opening the home to its new residents.

As we enter into a new year, Protected Harbor Board members will be participating in a strategic planning Board retreat to determine what the organization's direction will be once the new home is up and running. Please pray for the leadership of Protected Harbor, that our hearts would be open and receptive to the direction that God desires to lead us in. We know that nothing is possible without Him, and we are so grateful to all of you for your faithful prayers and support.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

For HIS Glory,
Bob Schubring, President
Furnishing the New Men's Home

Thanks to your generosity of spirit and the financial support you have provided to Protected Harbor in recent months, we have been able to start furnishing the new men's home to prepare it for its new residents! Please continue to pray that God would send additional residents to bless the home and use it for His glory.

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

Christmas Celebration with Friends from Gulf Coast High School Key Club

The ladies were blessed to embrace the Christmas spirit and decorate their home for the holidays with members of  Gulf Coast High School's Key Club, friends and family.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed food and fellowship while bringing Christmas cheer to the home.  The ladies helped prepare dozens of creative and delicious Christmas cookies to share with their family and friends, and enjoyed decorating the 8-foot tall Christmas tree and other areas of the home for the holiday season.

Native American Flute Circle

The ladies of Protected Harbor engage in a number of activities together, including a unique hobby they have grown to love.

The Protected Harbor Native American Flute Circle began in October 2016, all thanks to a man named Michael Simons. With Michael's help, the ladies were provided with Am Native American Flutes and bags from High Spirit Flutes located in Patagonia, Arizona. Odell Borg, the owner of High Spirits was kind enough to give discounted pricing after hearing of the specialized program.

"My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music
