Merry Fishmas!
Every year we choose a different holiday theme for our decorations and this year we selected "Merry Fishmas". We've got so many fish swimming around the inn, both inside and out. And all of the fish hanging on our trees were all painted and decorated by a first grade class at Silver Run Elementary School in Millville, NJ.

While doing so, the kids learned about our oceans and the importance of protecting them. And not only did they enjoy the craft project, but they also took great pride in knowing that their creations would be seen and appreciated by others.

So if you're in town before the end of December, feel free to stop by and check out our Christmas fish. Or  click here  for a sneak peek of our outdoor decorations.
Music at The Mission Update
The first two house concerts in our third season were memorable nights filled with music and stories from talented singer-songwriter Regina Sayles, and folk rock duo Mercy Creek.

On Saturday, January 25, musical duo Goodnight Moonshine returns to Cape May for a show that pairs the intimacy and immediacy of the 90's with the sonic explosion of the 60's. Featuring Molly Venter, also the lead singer for Americana group Red Molly, and Eben Pariser, a devotee of Ray Charles, Wes Montgomery, and The Beatles, Goodnight Moonshine will captivate you with their soulful sounds.

And in February, we welcome local acoustic duo Gregg Carpenter and Lara DeCosta to the inn. Their musical collaboration features powerful vocals and unique renditions of classic favorites.

Tickets for both shows are almost sold out!

Photo of the Month
Ho! Ho! Ho! Last week Santa and Mrs. Clause parked their sleigh at The Mission Inn for a pre-holiday getaway in Cape May. Visiting from Emmaus, PA, the Clauses spread some Christmas cheer all over town and snapped this great photo at the Cove beach.
Help Us Support the Surfrider Foundation of South Jersey
Our 2019 Christmas ornaments have arrived! For our Merry Fishmas theme, these colorful fish ornaments are hand made from recycled quilled paper. Each one is a unique, festive, and eco-friendly way to decorate your family's tree. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation of South Jersey to help support their efforts to remove plastic from the world's oceans. Pick yours up for $15 if you're in town (either at the inn or at our store Ripple & Root located in West Cape May) or for $20 we will ship it to you. Give us a call at 609-884-8380 or send an email to  before we run out. They make great stocking stuffers!
Chef's Corner:
Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Chef Leslie hates brussel sprouts...but she loves this appetizer! In fact, it's one of her favorite hors d'oeuvres to make during the winter season. Roasted brussel sprouts provide some color, warmth, and crunch to any holiday spread. And if you throw in some bacon, need I say more?!

Click here to see her simple and delicious recipe. You're welcome!
