Merry Christmas from our Louisiana Right to Life family! During this sacred time, we reflect on all the blessings God has given us. We are grateful for your support knowing that you help us defend the gift of life every single day. THANK YOU for being part of our team!

Together with you, we strive to protect the life of every unborn baby from abortion. And recently, we learned that an early study estimates that the Louisiana birth rates have increased because of the impact of our pro-life laws!

In our effort to save lives, sometimes we don't see the fruit of our labor. As we reflect on Jesus' birth this Christmas, we are especially thankful for each and every life that is saved.

Please don't forget we have some exciting events coming up, including our 2024 Proudly Pro-Life Gala with actor Jim Caviezel and five Life Marches across Louisiana in January.

P.S. Congratulations to our friend Dr. Ralph Abraham on being named the new Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health! Thanks to Governor-Elect Landry for placing pro-life leaders in his administration!

Last week, the United States Supreme Court announced that they will hear the biggest abortion case since the reversal of Roe v. Wade. The case centers around Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) reckless decisions to permit the dangerous chemical abortion regimen, mifepristone and misoprostol, to be sold in pharmacies and through the mail.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that nearly 60% of abortions nationwide utilize abortion-inducing drugs, and in Louisiana we know that women, even minors, can access these drugs through online distributors. For example, it is dangerously easy for Louisianans to order them on websites like Red State Access and Plan C.

These distributors often have little to no medical training and simply ask women a few questions before providing them with the abortion pills. There is no requirement to provide a positive pregnancy test and they are being obtained without physician instruction.

We are excited to announce that our 2024 Geaux Forth speaker is Kila Gonzales. Geaux Forth is our youth rally in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, the day before the national March for Life.

Kila is a wife and mother of five: three living children, Maxwell, Mia & Luke, and two babies awaiting her in heaven, Gabriella and Eva Kate. Kila has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years, and after enduring years of infertility and pregnancy and infant loss, including the devastating death of her newborn daughter, Eva, she found a passion for supporting families experiencing the same heartache she has faced.
