Central Ohio's Largest Irish-American Women's Organization
"American by birth, Irish by the grace of God!"
Dear Daughters of Erin Members,

'Tis the season to wish one another love and joy. Merry Christmas friends! May you feel the love of this special day. May you feel blessed and find happiness with friends and family. Our thoughts are with you as you celebrate even if it's only by Zoom!

The Board and I wish you a very Merry Christmas! Stay safe and we will see you in 2021!

Thank you to all members who have donated this year for the 2020 adopted families! We adopted 10 families with 26 children. There are so many people to thank, especially Cheryl Costello and her team (including family and friends). Watch for a complete report in January.

Thank you for your generous support of our charity work.

We are continuing to collect gently-used children's books to be donated to the Ohio Job & Family Services for children who come in with their parents for benefit assistance. Please let Cheryl know if you have books.

Congratulations to Becky Ellis, the 2021 Irish Woman of the Year! We plan to celebrate the 2020 and 2021 honorees during the Saint Patrick Day events in 2021, if it is safe to do so.

Thank you ladies for shopping at Kroger and choosing to benefit the Daughters of Erin. This money is raised from Kroger Cards registered through Kroger Community Rewards.

Signing up or registering your account is easy to do. The best part is that YOU still receive your Kroger rewards (coupons, fuel perks, etc) but behind the scenes, the Daughters of Erin receives a percentage of what you spend at the Kroger Store.

In the search field, type in Daughters of Erin or enter the organization # 81910.

Thank you for your support!

The Daughters of Erin is registered for AmazonSmile, a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices and convenient shopping features as found on Amazon.com.

Bruce McPherson, Ancient Order of Hibernians Member of the Year.

The member organizations of the The Clann na nGael of Columbus, Ohio
are pleased to announce the 2021 Honoree(s), THE IRISH BRIGADE.
Founded in 1979 by Dave Murphy and Pat Mogan to play a promotional event at the Lazarus Department Store in downtown Columbus, the band spent the next 19 years entertaining audiences across Central Ohio and beyond. The Brigade was a memorable cast of characters including regulars Greg Hankins, Kevin Talty, Dennis O’Hooley Smith, Phil Franck, Jim Scarf, and sound man Brian Conklin, plus many irregulars along the way. The Brigade was the original Irish traditional music group in Columbus, in more ways than one. Their enjoyment of the music and love of Irish history and culture echoes on through other music groups today.

Please join in congratulating The Irish Brigade for their contribution to the Irish community. A recognition event for all our 2020 and 2021 honorees will be scheduled in 2021.

All Clubs are closed, watch for updates in the new year.
