The Chevron Phillips Chemical Sweeny Complex has been in operation since 1944. Located 50 miles southwest of Houston on Loop 419 off Highway 35. The Sweeny Complex is one of the world's largest single-site ethylene facilities, capable of producing over 11 million pounds of ethylene per day. In addition to producing ethylene and propylene, the Sweeny Complex also has salt dome storage operations at the Clemens Terminal located 12 miles south of the facility.
