Merrry Christmas
            ….. by Bill Hudson
Winston Churchill once said, “When I get to heaven, I mean to spend a considerable portion of my first million years in painting, and so get to the bottom of the subject.”

As an old aerospace engineer, it is difficult to accept things solely on faith. People like me need evidence, discovery, facts and formulas to support claims. We require a test or demonstration as proof before theory can be accepted as credible. Churchill’s statement gleefully contains several challengeable assumptions/conclusions.

    (1) After death, there is a heaven
   (2) In heaven, there is eternal life.
   (3) In heaven, Winston will continue painting long after his earthly death.

So, what is the basis for Churchill’s statement. Where is the proof of heaven and eternal life? Where is the evidence? For us Christians the evidence was sufficiently provided by Jesus Christ. His life is well documented. He performed miracles for believers and non-believers alike. He fulfilled previously documented prophecies. He said he was the Son of God and there was eternal life with Him in heaven. He died for us on the cross, then rose again on the third day.

The great impact of Jesus Christ on everything we know and are about to learn is why we Christians celebrate His birth, wishing each other joy and a Merry Christmas. And so, especially to you artists continually striving to improve and find their style while enjoying the experience …...

                         I wish you all a
             Merry Christmas

Recent Events
Earlier this year, I decided to stop exhibiting in juried outdoor art festivals. Age and mobility had taken a toll. Like Winston, I still very much enjoy painting and, therefore, decided to seek gallery representation. This past weekend I drove my paintings to Arizona where I’ll be exhibiting in the Old Town Gallery District of Scottsdale. I’ll be proudly showing in Gallery Andrea, one of nearly 50 high-quality galleries packed within a few city blocks … a paradise for art-loving tourists.
Gallery Andrea
Gallery Andrea, located at 7019 E. Main Street, features work by the mother-daughter duo Andrea de Kerpely-Zak and Andrea Zakrzewski. The mom, Andrea de Kerpely-Zak, is internationally known for painting “Healing Flowers,” commissioned for Pope John Paul II and placed in the Vatican collection.
