Christmas, 2022

Latest News From Kingswood

The text below is our 2022 Holiday Appeal. Many of you received this by "snail mail", but we want to be sure we reached everyone. If you've already given, thank you so much!

As we approach winter’s cold and dwindling light, it’s soothing to remember the warmth of summer at Kingwood. Playing, relaxing and living outdoors in the sun, and even the rain, fills the senses and expands the heart. It was another great summer for vacationers at Kingswood – swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, exploring, cooking and eating, campfires, building at Stone Ministry and reconnecting with family, friends, and nature.

If you visited this summer, you saw three new bathrooms in the lower barn. These were built entirely by volunteers! As always, volunteers worked hard to upgrade and maintain the camp during the year. Kingswood is a non-profit that depends on volunteer labor and donations to provide upkeep and purchases to operate, all while remaining affordable.

In this Season of Giving, please keep Kingswood on your prayer list and your gift list. Tell the Kingswood story in your churches and among your community of family and friends. Come back and encourage others to spend time at Kingswood as well. You are welcome and invited to join our volunteer cadre, a rewarding way to make friends and lovingly care for this sacred camp.

You can make week-long summer reservations starting January 2, 2022, and on March 15, you can begin reserving for shorter stays. If you can’t wait until summer, rent the cozy Farmhouse this winter or spring! You will have the entire property to yourselves.

We would be so grateful to receive your gift to Kingswood and wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and many blessings in 2022!

Contributions can be sent to our treasurer Carol Stidworthy 430 County Route 1 Warwick, NY 10990 or you can click on the button below to access our webpage and the donation button found near the top on the left.

If you or someone you know is Red Cross certified, or an avid swimmer interested in getting Red Cross certification, and at least 18 years old, please contact us. The lifeguard stays in one of the cabins onsite and works 6 hours per day – 6 days per week. The job includes cleaning of the bathhouse and maintaining the swimming and boating areas as well as four hours of guarding per day.

Program Director

The program director develops, sets up, and delivers programs for campers which provide activities for families and opportunities for community building among campers. The job also includes speaking to each family (or camping group) to provide a welcome, gather camper information, answer questions and communicate essential information. The program director stays in a cabin onsite - 6 days per week.
