Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future .”

Christmas At Jeremiah's Place
At our "PLACE"—just like many of yours – Christmas is a time of celebration and tradition. It is festive and fun, always with the reminder that God’s loving gift of His only Son is our reason for celebrating! It's the most wonderful time of the year. But some of the ways you and I mark the Christmas season by exchanging gifts or gathering with family and friends are difficult to do when you have no money and you have no home. Here at Jeremiah's Place we may have mothers who are away from their children at Christmastime or women that have experienced very traumatic situations and therefore, the holidays aren't always the happiest time of year. For some people in difficult situations, you might see an increase in depression. For those living paycheck to paycheck, the holiday season brings added stress and it feels like to them that, ‘Every time you get an extra penny, something comes along that costs a nickel more.’

It's Going To Be All Right!
When B's children arrived at Jeremiah's Place they were full of fear. That’s not unusual. “Don’t be afraid … it’s going to be all right” are words we repeat day after day to children who call Jeremiah's Place home. Fear is common among the children we serve – fear of the unknown, or being physically harmed, or making a mistake and being punished. Most of these children bring a lot of fear with them from the past as they have experienced the world to be a scary place. But love overcomes fear. Angels reached out to bring peace and comfort to Mary and the shepherds on that first Christmas. And from the moment children enter Jeremiah's Place, we surround them with love and kindness, helping them to feel safe, secure and loved.

Providing Hope
The Christmas season is an exciting and special time for most people, a season filled with gifts, good food, and time spent with loved ones. But for women, children and families at Jeremiah's Place, Christmas is little more than a reminder of gifts they will never open, food they won’t eat, family they won’t see and "HOPE" they’ll never experience.

"I like that you get to rip off the paper and tear off the bow," Becki said. "That brings back a fond memory from when my life was in a better place."

Because of you, they will have "HOPE". Without the help of our generous friends, a real Christmas for children and families at Jeremiah's Place simply wouldn’t happen. This Christmas, however, you can help our families regain that "HOPE". You have the opportunity to show them that someone really does care. Your generous gift of $50, $100, or more will help provide supplies, clothing, shelter and, yes, "HOPE" to hurting individuals and families not just at Christmas but into next year as well. Thank you for partnering with us in the most generous way to make this a season of joy for our residents at Jeremiah's Place.

Please send the most generous gift you can today.

From all of us at Jeremiah's Place
"Merry Christmas"
