Common Action
Donate Blood During This Time of Critical Need
We believe giving blood is an expression of our common humanity. That’s why we’re proudly recruiting blood donors through a nationwide #SleevesUp campaign, now through Jan. 31. Simply click here, then make (and keep) an appointment to give blood at an American Red Cross site or blood drive near you — no matter where you live.

As an additional service to donors, the Red Cross will test all blood, plasma and platelet donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Click here to learn more.
Young Authors Essay Contest Now Open!
Submissions accepted through Feb. 8
Young authors (ages 13-18) are invited to submit essays inspired by changes to the world in the past year. Essays should explore themes such as connection, contemplation and common action (working together for the greater good).

In this #WisdomWednesday from the 2019 Festival of Faiths, activist, ceremonial leader and writer Woman Stands Shining asks: “How can we make each other the beautiful, beloved, celebrated, nurtured, nourished, beloved brother and sister that we witness in each other?” She then offers words of affirmation to help guide us to the answers — an exercise that's especially fitting as we move past a challenging year.
