Yet another gorgeous day. We have had an 8th grade hike and bonding day, and so many other classes enjoying the outdoors for learning and fun.
With advice from our medical and statistical team, I write with painstakingly difficult news that we will move to remote learning starting this Thursday, November 12th. As you know our policy has been when we go over 4.0 in our weighted average for 72 hours, we do move to remote learning. By the close of today, it looks like our PCCRI will likely be up to 5.7.
Most important is to have a clear plan for our wonderful students and teachers. That is what will sustain us through difficult decisions like this one. So, starting on Thursday we will move to remote learning until the Thanksgiving break, and between now and then our medical, statistical and programmatic team will be actively talking about options to bring everyone back for in-person learning as safely, as creatively and as soon as possible.
The beautiful weather makes it all the more difficult to be transitioning to remote learning, but it is the safe choice. Our exceptional team of teachers will deliver an extraordinary remote program.
