Dear First Congregational Church,
Our congregation is part of a five-year longitudinal study focused on Exploring the Pandemic Impact on Congregations (EPIC). Conducted by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research and Faith Communities Today, this research initiative is aimed at gathering critical information about the changes in the religious landscape in the United since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until this point, all the surveys have been sent to me to complete. Now, they want to hear from you, members and friends, age 18 and older who attend First Congregational Church. Whether you are new to our church or a long-time participant, whether you attend in person or online or both, the researchers want to hear from you.
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can access it through this link:

The survey is open from now until November 15, 2024.

For it to be a meaningful measurement, we need as many attenders as possible to complete the survey. Next spring, we will receive the results of our congregation’s responses as well as the complete results of the national survey. If enough of us participate, the survey results could provide valuable insight as we learn how to respond effectively to the changing nature of congregational life post-pandemic.
