A Message from Armenia's Office of Diaspora Affairs
|
Early morning on September 13th, Azerbaijan launched a direct attack on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, targeting the southern border cities of Goris, Kapan, Vardenis, and multiple villages. Azerbaijan is indiscriminately attacking military infrastructure and civilian populations with artillery, large-caliber weapons, and drones resulting in 49 confirmed casualties and injured civilians.
The Azerbaijani offensive is in gross violation of the November 9th, 2020 ceasefire agreement, international law, and human rights. This attack hinders any progress toward peace, threatens renewed war, and severely undermines the security of the entire region.
Despite condemnation from the international community, Azerbaijan has attempted to advance its positions in the direction of civilian settlements within the Republic of Armenia, in violation of Armenia’s territorial integrity. Moreover, Azerbaijan's attempts to justify the aggression with claims that the Armenian side provoked the attack are baseless and entirely false.
Azerbaijani forces have routinely violated the ceasefire agreement, targeted civilians, and continue to hold prisoners of war. The relentless anti-Armenian rhetoric and repeated attempts to ethnically cleanse and terrorize the civilian populations of Armenia and Artsakh prove that Azerbaijan is not interested in establishing lasting peace.
We call on the international community to condemn Azerbaijan’s criminal aggression not only with words but with decisive action.

It's Easy! Sign up for Roundup and Amazon Smile
Here are two easy ways to help AAHPO every time you shop:
1.Roundup App
Roundup allows you to effortlessly donate to AAHPO by "rounding up" your credit card purchases to the nearest dollar, then sending those modest donations directly to AAHPO.
The process is simple. First, go to the app store on your smartphone, and download the Roundup App for free. Once inside the Roundup App, you simply choose AAHPO (Armenian American Healthcare Professionals Organization) as your nonprofit. Then link a credit or debit card and select a monthly minimum goal.
It's great! You are only being asked to donate your spare change. For most of us, it’s much easier to say “yes” to parting with nickels and dimes, than to a set amount of money. But for the vulnerable Armenians helped by AAHPO, those nickels and dimes add up to healthcare education and assistance!
