Dear ECA Families,
I want to start by saying how excited I am that the fall athletic season has begun! I am very proud of our coaching staff and all of our student athletes who have faced many challenges in getting ready for their games.
With this in mind, I’m sharing some information about fall sports that will help us continue to keep everyone safe. In the weeks ahead, we will host a number of outdoor contests on the ECA Mt. Nebo Campus. Please be sure to read and follow the important instructions below.
- By order of the state, we are permitted to host up to 250 people for each outdoor game. Please note that everyone in attendance will be required to wear a gaiter or a mask if you chose to enter the gated portion of the soccer/baseball fields. If you choose not to wear a mask, you may still watch the game from outside the gate. Our desire is to keep both home and away fans as safe as possible.
- Please note that each of the schools who will host ECA for athletic events will require fans to wear masks as well. Currently, there are a few schools that will not permit away fans at their venues and we will send that information out to you prior to those games.
- At this time, only 25 people are allowed for our indoor games including team members, coaches, etc. So currently, fans are not allowed for volleyball games. The good news is that we will be live-streaming these games so that everyone who would like to see the games will have that opportunity.
While we understand that no one wants to attend a sporting event wearing a mask, we also recognize that any COVID-19 outbreak related to middle or high school sports could have negative consequences on games and fans in the future. I want to thank you ahead of time for your cooperation.
I know we all want to do our part to make sure we are able to support our amazing athletes in person. Please come ready to safely cheer for your favorite Warrior!
I look forward to meeting you at one of the games.
Keep Lookin’ Up,
