Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community,
Every day, I am reminded of how fortunate we are in Lovejoy ISD to have the very best staff!

Our Lovejoy teams have been working throughout the summer to prepare for a fantastic year, and I am so proud to share that all of our teachers are TCEA Remote Learning Certified Educators. This certification helps ensure our teachers can apply best practices while teaching in a virtual environment.

This week, I had the honor of virtually welcoming the newest members of our Lovejoy staff during our New Employee Orientation. I can attest that every one of them has a passion for students and will be a great addition to our already amazing Leopard family!

On Monday, August 10th, we will virtually welcome back ALL of our Lovejoy ISD staff at our annual Convocation event. This event is truly one of my favorite days of the year! During our time together, I will have an opportunity to affirm to our staff how thankful we are for their continued dedication to our Lovejoy community and share with them our Best Today. Better Tomorrow. vision for the upcoming school year.

I hope you will join me on Monday through our various social media channels to welcome back our staff and show them how thankful we are for them and how "We Live Lovejoy"!
Planning for Fall 2020
Planning Guide Update - Masks

To ensure compliance with the Governor's Executive Order GA 29, requiring masks for anyone age 10 and up, Lovejoy ISD will be adjusting the mask requirement to include all students in 4th grade and above.

Please remember that all students and staff are required to wear a mask or face shield as they transition into or out of the building or transitioning inside the building from one location to another. While wearing a mask, students should also maintain at least six feet of distance from others as much as possible (i.e. entering/exiting buildings, walking to/from classrooms in the hallway, etc.).

Students in grades 4th - 12th grade will need to plan to wear masks throughout the day in order to be in compliance with the Governor's orders, including within the classroom.

Virtual Saturday Morning with the Superintendent Webinar
This Saturday, Dr. Goddard and Team will host a "Virtual Saturday Morning with the Superintendent" webinar to answer pre-submitted questions from our community!

We will be live streaming this question and answer session on our Facebook page and will provide a link on the front of our Lovejoy ISD webpage. Our session will run from 8:00 am - 9:00 am.

Please submit your district-wide questions for this event by Friday, August 7th by 6 pm on the form provided here.

We ask that you help us answer as many questions as possible by keeping your question brief. We will do our very best to answer as many questions as we can within the hour and those we do not have time for, we will carry them forward for another session!
