Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community,

I am so excited to share with our fantastic community that Lovejoy ISD received notification today that we were named a Top 100 Places to Work 2020 by The Dallas Morning News.

This is an incredible honor! With more than 3,100 deserving companies nominated and 118,000 employees surveyed, we are beyond Lovejoy proud.

I can not think of a better tribute to the amazing work and learning environment that each and every one of our Lovejoy teammates has helped create. We are One Heart. One Lovejoy!
The Top 100 Places to Work is an honor based on an extensive employee survey that proves excellence in areas such as company leadership, compensation, training, workplace flexibility, diversity and more. The rankings and overall results are featured in the  Top 100 Places to Work 2020  magazine, which will be distributed in  The Dallas Morning News  on Sunday, November 15, and published at  dallasnews.com/top100
Planning for Fall 2020
Earlier this week, we shared information regarding the 2020 - 2021 school year and instructional options as outlined officially by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) on July 7.

We are currently receiving updates from TEA twice a week. As we work through the provided guidance and continue developing our plans, we appreciate your continued patience.

Information is rapidly changing, and we know the most accurate information is essential for our families. We will provide updates regarding the Fall semester on a weekly basis, or more frequently as needed. However, please know this information is subject to change as we receive updated directives from governing agencies.
We have created a Fall Planning Guide website to help house all the information we will be sharing within one central location. Please click on the image below to visit the Planning Guide website. This site will be updated frequently.

While we know this year may present many unique challenges and opportunities, I am confident that through our unwavering dedication to educational excellence, our supportive parents, and community, along with our phenomenal staff and students, it will be an amazing school year for ALL of our Leopards!
Transportation Updates
Lovejoy ISD has long been proud to offer regular education transportation to all students residing within the school district as a convenience to our families. Unlike many districts throughout Collin County and the state, Lovejoy ISD has been able to provide transportation services without transportation funding from the state.

Geographically, Lovejoy is one of the smallest school districts at 17 square miles and with six campuses inside a seven-mile driving radius. Historically, 40% or less of our students regularly utilize the District's bus service.

Due to continual educational funding cuts from the state and to adopt a balanced district operating budget that protects the instructional quality and experience for students, LISD was faced with the difficult decision to significantly reduce transportation services for the 2020- 2021 school year.

Please visit the 2020-2021 Transportation Eligibility Guidelines website for more information.
