Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate these unique times.
Lovejoy ISD is committed to providing instructional continuity while ensuring the safety of
all
of our students, families, and Lovejoy employees. With the rise in COVID-19 cases along with the requirements outlined by
TEA in their
Public Health Guidance
specific to
COVID exposures and minimizing viral spread, providing instruction virtually for the first three weeks of school gives our students and families the best opportunity for instructional consistency during this challenging time.
In our call with the TEA Commissioner today, we were advised that beyond the first few weeks of the school year, districts will have the ability at the local level to adopt an additional four weeks of virtual learning if necessary due to public health concerns. Lovejoy ISD will continue to work with local health authorities should additional time be needed and will keep our community updated.
Preliminary Learning Preference - Due July 22nd.
Please help us as we continue in our planning efforts for the Fall by selecting your students' preliminary learning preference for the 2020-2021 school year
by July 22nd. The release of our Planning Guide for 2020-2021, should help answer many of the questions we have received about specifics for each learning environment for the upcoming school year.
Parents will have the opportunity to change their selection prior to August 3rd, by contacting their campus registrar.
In providing LISD your preliminary choice by
July 22nd, we will be able better to build our secondary master schedules and elementary classrooms lists..
