Wonderful Lovejoy Community:
I woke up yesterday morning and realized I had not been dreaming. My ten-year-old dream came true – I am officially the Superintendent of Lovejoy ISD. I am home.
The spring of 2005 was the first time I walked into the little red school house. I spent the year preparing for and developing, with my teammates, the Lovejoy Graduate Profile – the pillars and foundation of what we wanted Lovejoy ISD to become. In 2006 we opened the doors to the secondary program and began to build what is now one of the premier districts in the State of Texas and the Nation. On June 4, 2010, I had the opportunity to speak at our first Lovejoy High School graduation, and said these words, “Once a Leopard, Always a Leopard.”
Over the past nine years, I have had the opportunity to be a part of two different districts which allowed me to experience incredible growth, attack large challenges and grow my perspectives toward developing students in all aspects of their lives.
I have always known that I wanted to return to Lovejoy ISD to continue the journey towards exceptional. That day is here. I have never been more thankful, prayerful, excited or optimistic than I am today about Lovejoy ISD.
Our brightest days as Leopards are ahead. We have only seen a glimpse of what our district can become. We will shine even brighter in our future days and years as a lighthouse of our district and community. We will strive daily to exemplify excellence in closing gaps in the lives of every student - taking students from where they are today, to where their potential lies tomorrow.
I am honored, thrilled and humbled at the opportunity to be the lead Leopard and serve as the Superintendent of Lovejoy ISD. I promise to be an example of character, integrity and honor for our students, staff and community.
I am so excited to re-connect and connect with you as I see you around our community, at events or campuses. As I serve, I promise you will always get my best.
Proud Lovejoy Leopard,
