Message from Mike
May 27, 2020
Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community:
I can't believe this is our last day of instruction! While we faced so much this year, we are stronger because of it.

In each and every way, we truly were a community that demonstrated One Heart. One Lovejoy!

We are excited to celebrate our seniors this Saturday! Please find information below regarding graduation and our Friday, Message from Mike will be a special edition celebrating the Class of 2020!
Courtyard Graduation
Congratulations to the Lovejoy High School Class of 2020! We are excited to honor and celebrate this monumental achievement in your life.

The courtyard graduation ceremony will take place in-person at Lovejoy High School at 9 am on Saturday, May 30th .

The courtyard ceremony will allow for all of our families and students to have the opportunity to participate in the regalia of the graduation ceremony from speakers, photo opportunities, and walking the stage and/or driving through, if desired.

Lovejoy ISD will be providing FM transmission of ceremony for attendees in the parking lot of Lovejoy High School. LIVE video streaming of the graduation event will be available through the Lovejoy ISD website and Facebook LIVE.

Once the graduation ceremony is complete, we invite the Lovejoy ISD community to celebrate our graduates by participating in a community parade.

Visit our Lovejoy ISD Courtyard Graduation website for the video streaming link and community parade information.

In the event of inclement weather, the courtyard graduation will be rescheduled to Sunday, May 31st at 2 pm. The community parade will occur rain or shine on May 30th!

The following EOY assessments are available for administration at home:
  • All STAAR tested grades and subjects
  • 4 and 7 Writing (multiple choice section only, no essay writing)

Lovejoy Visual Arts AP Art Exhibition

We are proud to announce the beginning of our 11th Annual LJVA Charity Art Auction, on Tuesday, May 26th! While we are not able to hold the auction in person, we are excited to take the auction to the digital realm so that even more people can participate. As a pillar of our LJVA Program, we believe fully in the life changing opportunities visual art has provided us and are grateful for the chance to pass on the incredible support we have been given through the Lovejoy community. We are honored to be able to give back to our community through our work; 100% of the proceeds from our auction going to the Burks Elementary Art Program. We hope that through the sale of this work the next generation of young artists are able to find their voice and share it with the world around them.
