Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community,

It is always an amazing week to be a Leopard and this week was no exception.

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day and we are so fortunate to have the most amazing servant leaders in our Custodial Team!. Our custodians have done an amazing job helping keep our Leopards safe!
This past week, we had an opportunity to officially open Leopard Stadium and host our first Volleyball home opener! We love watching our students continue to shine and appreciate all of our patrons helping us keep our Leopards safe and following UIL guidelines.
We are in the 4th Quarter of 2020 and we are excited about watching our Leopards connect and embracing our Core Values and Graduate Profile to stay finish 2020 strong!
Girls Cross-Country

Last weekend, our Girls Cross Country teams traveled to Round Rock to race on the State Course and defeated the #1 and #2 ranked teams!

On Saturday, our JV 1 & 2 teams competed in Coppell and had several races that went very well.

We are Lovejoy Proud of these teams and their continued effort and passion!
Alumni Proud

Sophia Foster, LHS Class of '20, received first-place in ink art and watercolor art in the 2020 Texas State Fair Creative Arts contest. She completed these art pieces during her senior year at LHS.

Her art is currently on display in the Creative Arts Building in Fair Park until October and will also be shared in virtual state fair tours.

Sophia is thankful for her Lovejoy teachers Jeff Seidel and Amanda Beller, and is currently attending Oklahoma State.

Fall Break - October 9th & 12th
Students will return to class on Tuesday, October 13th.
Pink Out - October 9th
Join us Friday, October 9th as we show our support and turn the stands Pink while supporting our Lovejoy Leopards Football Team!
Transportation Data Collection
LISD has created a supplemental application process that will allow the district to collect and evaluate data from our families regarding their transportation needs in an effort to plan for the possible expansion of paid-routes for current ineligible zones.

The request application was emailed to Lovejoy ISD families on Friday, September 25th. The application will remain open; however, initial data collected by the morning of Monday, October 5th will be evaluated first for possible immediate relief.
Notification & Dashboard

In accordance with TEA required notifications and in an effort to keep our parents, staff, and community informed, Lovejoy ISD will be sending email notifications to parents and staff for each occurance of a positive COVID case.

We have created a COVID Case Dashboard website that is now being updated throughout the day to reflect real-time active lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Lovejoy ISD.
Lovejoy ISD will personally contact individuals who may have come in close contact (as defined by TEA) with a lab-confirmed positive case on a campus. If you are NOT directly contacted, then you are NOT someone who was identified as having close contact with a positive individual.

The COVID Case Dashboard is accessible from the main district website, each campus website and can be accessed here.
