Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve this fantastic community. I am appreciative of your constant communication and encouragement. We remain committed to Best Today. Better Tomorrow, and together we can continue to do amazing things in Lovejoy ISD.

As we have the opportunity to welcome back many of our Alumni this weekend, we are so proud to see them continuing to live out the Graduate Profile and being great contributors within the community. Homecoming is an excellent reminder of what we strive for every day, building our students' capacity as they become great young men and young women, true Lovejoy Leopards, and living out the Graduate Profile each and every day!

Hope to see you this evening as we unite to celebrate our One Heart. One Lovejoy. community!

Congratulations to Lovejoy High School Athletic Training Staff

Congratulations to the Lovejoy High School Athletic Training Staff on being selected as the Week 5 Children's Health Andrews Institute Team Behind the Team Award Finalist!

Dave Campbell's Texas Football and Children's Health Andrews Institute have joined together to highlight our North Texas Student Training Programs.

Dawton Bruner, a Sophomore, was awarded one of the Academic Scholarships from the Children's Health Andrews Institute. It has been a challenging year with new cleaning and health protocols. Dawton, with his dedication as a Student Athletic Trainer is helping to keep our Leopard athletes healthy and helping LHS to have our sport seasons! Dawton is following the Medical path at LHS and is pursuing a career as a Physical Therapist.

We are #LovejoyProud of Coach Smiley and Coach Green and their hard working group of Athletic Trainers.
Congratulations to our Lovejoy ISD All Region Orchestra

The Annual All Region Orchestra Contest was held virtually this past Saturday. All Region is an individual competition where students learn a packet of music that includes an etude and excerpts that they learn on their own. This music is difficult and stretches them as musicians. Students compete against other musicians from 6th-8th grade in our region, which includes Allen, Plano, Wylie and Sherman. Students send in recordings of themselves performing certain sections of the required music for a panel of judges to evaluate.

Please congratulate the following students for going above and beyond and learning the all region music and auditioning:

Transportation Update
During the October 19th Board Meeting, Trustees approved the addition of 3 routes for secondary and elementary students within each of the elementary boundaries.
The first route to be added will be for students living in the Lovejoy Elementary boundary and routes will be expected to start sometime during the week of November 4th. Transportation will be working with families regarding morning and afternoon drop off times as soon as the routes are ready.
As we look at adding the additional two routes to the Puster and Hart zones, it is important to note that the addition of these routes will have a domino effect on currently routed students in terms of potential pick up times and route numbers. The majority of the existing routes are currently being redesigned to help facilitate the maximum number of additional students. Once the routes have been completed, Lovejoy ISD will update routing information and notify parents. The transportation department is working hard to complete the routes and anticipates the additional Puster and Hart routes being ready for service on November 16th.
Lovejoy ISD will be sending additional transportation specific communication this upcoming week to help keep our community informed.

Letter Writing Campaign
Letters do not have to be elaborate or lengthy. The goal is just for people to write a note of thanks to show appreciation to their teachers, the staff and administration in our district. It is the opportunity for us to take the time to let each person who makes a difference for us throughout the school day know how much we value them.
