Dear Wonderful Lovejoy Community,

We are so excited to have some of our Leopards joining us for On-Campus Learning, starting Tuesday, September 8th and look forward to continuing to serve our families who have chosen Leopard Virtual Learning.

This week we had a chance to welcome many of our Pre-K and Kindergarten students on campus as they participated in a soft opening! It was so great to see our campuses come alive with energy and laughter.

As we start the first few weeks of On-Campus Learning, we encourage you to reach out to your campus principal if you have any questions or concerns regarding procedures and processes that may be in place. Our number one goal is to help keep our students / staff healthy and do all we can to keep our Leopards in school. Please feel free to reach out directly to campus principals as a first step, and they will gladly answer any of your questions and concerns.

We Live Lovejoy each and every day by coming together as one community, demonstrating our best today, and doing even better tomorrow and putting all kids first for each decision we make!
Reminders for On-Campus Learning
Face coverings are required to help keep our Leopards healthy!

Student Recognition
Congratulations to Reagan Matacale! She received the Senior Excellence Award from United Soccer Coaches for her significant contributions to the team, consistently projecting a positive attitude, displaying team leadership, and exemplifying the finest attributes of a high school student-athlete last season. We are Lovejoy Proud of you, Reagan!
Student Nutrition Services
Student Nutrition Services is looking forward to serving our on-campus learners starting Tuesday, September 8th.

Our kitchens will be up and running, and our team will be ready to greet students with a smile! For the safety of our students and staff, social distancing practices will be in place while the students are in the serving line and when seated in the cafeteria. The school lunch menus are available on the Student Nutrition webpage.
For all students who are continuing with virtual learning, lunch will be available daily for pick up at Sloan Creek Intermediate School from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Parents and/or students will need to enter the school through the front office and proceed to the cafeteria to select a lunch to go.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, we highly encourage households to utilize the online meal prepayment system available at If paying by check or cash, there will be a dropbox available in the school office or the cafeteria. Please make checks payable to Student Nutrition. Include the student's full name and student ID number on the memo line. Cash should be in a sealed envelope labeled with your child's full name, student ID number, and school name. Change will not be available.
Meal prices and snack items can be found on the Student Nutrition webpage. Households interested in applying for free/reduced-priced meals, please complete a 2020-2021 Income Application. If you qualified last school year, you would need to complete another application for this school year. The application is available on the Student Nutrition webpage.

Student Nutrition Services looks forward to serving you, and we appreciate your continued support for our Nutrition Program. If you have any questions, you can reach us at 469-742-8041.
Transportation Tips
Be sure to review some helpful bus procedure reminders prior to the 8th!
Lovejoy ISD COVID Cases Dashboard

In an effort to keep our parents, staff, and community informed, Lovejoy ISD has created a COVID Case Dashboard website that will be updated daily to reflect active lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Lovejoy ISD.
In addition to posting information on the website, campus-wide notification will be sent to both parents and staff when a lab-confirmed positive case has been reported at a campus.

Lovejoy ISD will personally contact individuals who may have come in close contact (as defined by TEA) with a lab-confirmed positive case on a campus. If you are NOT directly contacted, then you are NOT someone who was identified as having close contact with a positive individual.

The COVID Case Dashboard is accessible from the main district website and can be accessed here.
