Key Announcements

Hospitality Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are an essential to all our ministries, including the Hospitality Ministry. The Hospitality Ministry is all about radically welcoming and integrating everyone who enters our community. To radically welcome them, is to go above and beyond to create a truly inclusive and comfortable environment for everyone. It’s a way for people to feel truly seen, heard, and loved. By joining our team, it is also a great way to be more connected here at New Covenant through being a part of a team and meeting new people.

We are currently seeking individuals who would like to serve as ushers, greeters, and coffee bar volunteers.

If you’d like more information about the Hospitality Ministry, or are interested in being a part of this important team, please reach out to Ashley Hill, First Impressions Manager.

Ways to Give Online

Proverbs 3:9-10 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

When you give to New Covenant, you are supporting Local and International Outreach, Ministry Programs, Sunday worship services, renovation and upkeep of our beautiful buildings, basics such as electricity, and the staff and volunteers who work through our ministries to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

There are many ways to give. You can mail a check to our church office, virtually by signing into our online portal, by texting the word GIVE to (352) 480-0528, or you can use your required minimum distribution through your IRA.

Consider one of these methods today to help support the ministries of New Covenant. If you have any questions, reach out to the Finance Office.

Thank you for supporting New Covenant United Methodist Church, where together, we are a thriving body of Christ by being His hands, feet, and voice in the world.

If you have questions, you may visit the Computer Center before worship services or contact the church Finance Office.

General Announcements

"Legacy Fund" — What is it?

In 2007 New Covenant established an Endowment Fund, now called the Legacy Fund, which provides members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts that become a permanent fund to support ministries and growth long into the future.

By way of the Legacy Fund, you can make a “Planned Gift” by giving to the fund either now or by way of your will, trust, or numerous other methods upon your passing. Anyone can make a planned gift - you do not have to be wealthy. Just think, if every one of our members left just $500 to the Legacy Fund, that would total almost one million dollars.

If you would like more information about the Legacy Fund, please contact Linda Stubits, Finance Manager.

Legacy Giving

Giving through your will or trust allows you to keep your assets while you need them.

Fresh Expressions Volunteer Opportunities

New Covenant is pleased to offer a Fresh Expression of ministry by providing a mini worship service for residents in many of the living facilities in The Villages and surrounding areas.

If you have the gift of music, prayer, or sharing a devotion, being a part of this ministry may be a good fit for you. All volunteers for this Fresh Expression ministry undergo training in protecting vulnerable adults as well as a background check.

To learn more about getting involved, please contact Pastor Donna Hendren.

Do You Like Helping People?

Help is needed Monday through Friday, from 9 AM–12:30 PM or 12:30–4 PM, either a half-day or full-day. Training will be provided.
