New Sermon Series: “Come, Holy Spirit”
May 24 & 25 – June 14 & 15
We invite you to join us for Pastor Harold’s upcoming sermon series as we examine what the Bible has to say about the Third Person of the Holy Trinity: The Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the most powerful force on earth. We find throughout the Gospels that Jesus identifies the Holy Spirit as a comforter, counselor, and empowering force. During this series, we will explore how God's spiritual presence equips us with His gifts, abilities, wisdom, and understanding.
We have much to learn from the early church about how the Holy Spirit embraced and empowered the earliest believers. What can we discover from them that might inspire us? How can we tap into this divine force that can breathe fresh air into our lives and move our church forward? The wind is at our back, pushing us towards new and impactful areas of ministry. Come, Holy Spirit, come!

Wildwood Middle High School New Mentors Needed
New Covenant’s Mentor Program annually has around 35 Mentors working with Mentees from ninth to twelfth grade, primarily at Wildwood Middle High School.
Our current Mentors “move up” with their Mentees each year, but because of how popular the program continues to be, we have more students who are asking for Mentors. Each year, we recruit adults who have a heart for teenagers and a sincere desire to provide love, patience, guidance, and support over a period of four years as the Mentee journeys from ninth grade through graduation. The Mentor Program focuses on four foundational areas: physical, spiritual, behavioral, and academic/career needs.
If God is leading you to this special program and you would like more information, please use the button below to contact Anne Foote Hill, Director of Administration.

Alzheimer’s Ministry
Thursdays from 10 AM – 11:30 AM
Thursdays are important days! On Thursday mornings, we are blessed to host Alzheimer’s Support Groups! In Classrooms 1, 2, and 3, we have groups of caregivers that come and share their experiences about caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other dementia related illnesses.
Also, in Classrooms 6 & 7, we have a respite for the loved ones, allowing the caregivers to relax for a bit without worry. The Respite Room is a fun-filled place with volunteers who lead brain stimulating activities including singing, coloring, games, and more.
The Alzheimer’s Support Groups and Respite Room is provided for anyone in our congregation or community who needs this service at no cost. We are grateful to be able to share these gifts with those in need. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Jackie Damron, our Social Worker.

God Whose Giving Knows No Ending
Skills and time are ours for pressing
toward the goals of Christ, your Son:
all at peace in health and freedom,
races joined, the Church made one.
Now direct our daily labor,
lest we strive for self alone.
Born with talents, make us servants
fit to answer at your throne.
Treasure, too, you have entrusted,
gain through powers your grace conferred,
ours to use for home and kindred,
and to spread the gospel word.
Open wide our hands in sharing,
as we heed Christ's ageless call,
healing, teaching, and reclaiming,
serving you by loving all.
As this hymn demonstrates, we give of our time, talents, and treasure to express our gratitude for the astounding generosity, extravagant goodness, and abundant grace of God.

Spirited Singles Begin New Study
Sundays at 10:15 AM in Classroom 3
“Christian – It’s Not What You Think” — is an eight-session video-based Bible study examining the characteristics Jesus used to define those who follow him and the implications these characteristics have for believers today.
Through this study you’ll learn:
- The one word that should be descriptive of EVERY Christian
- How Jesus’ followers should treat those OUTSIDE the faith
- Why people love Jesus but CAN’T STAND his followers
Through this study Andy Stanley unpacks the qualities Jesus prescribes for his followers which makes them unique. What if followers today embodied these traits and put them above all others? Would the non-believing world put aside its derisive definition of “Christian” and instead know us by our love.
Everyone is welcome and you do not need to purchase the book.

Backpacks4Kids presents “Aspects of Love”
Sunday, June 22 at 6 PM in the Christian Life Center
Love is never just one thing. It is sacred and sensual, fragile and fierce, playful, tragic, and transcendent. In this richly varied program, soprano Cynthia Fisher, soprano Deanna Peden, and tenor Mark Schmidt explore love in all its shifting shades — through the soaring melodies of opera, the wit of Broadway, and the lush lyricism of song. Sean Pollock will be at the piano, bringing color and nuance to every note.
From the spiritual ecstasy of Thaïs to the glittering irony of Candide, from the light-hearted joy of I Could Have Danced All Night to Puccini’s luminous La Canzone di Doretta and Verdi’s iconic La donna è mobile, each performer brings a distinct voice and emotional palette to the evening.
Whether you come for the purity of Caro Nome, the tenderness of Somewhere, or the triumphant swell of Nessun Dorma, you’ll find yourself moved by the many facets — the many aspects — of love.
A suggested donation ($20) at the door helps to support the vital work of our Backpacks4Kids Ministry, providing school supplies for children in our Wildwood community. Come be inspired — and help make a difference!
