Spiritual Reflection

“Of one thing we can be sure: angels never draw attention to themselves but ascribe glory to God and press His message upon the hearers as a delivering and sustaining word of the highest order.”

Upcoming New Year Sermon Series

“The Message of Jesus… A Savior with a Cause”

Billions of people know about Jesus, but fewer “know” Jesus. Many claim to know Jesus but don’t know what he taught. Also, many have misinterpreted the teachings of Jesus and have manipulated His thoughts into a meaning that wasn’t Jesus’s intent.

Jesus was a man, Savior, and Rabbi with a cause. With crystal-clear clarity of His mission, Jesus did not waver on why He came to earth and what He came to accomplish. Over the next four weeks, we will view the teachings of Jesus as He was a “Rebel” with a cause, a “teacher” with a cause, the great “I Am” with a cause, and the “resurrection” with a cause.

Come join us as we dive deep into the teachings of Jesus about the “Kingdom of God” and see the impact of His “cause.”

Discipleship Opportunities

We are encouraging discipleship groups to consider using Adam Hamilton's new book titled, "The Message of Jesus: Words that Changed the World" as a guide for a four-week study to coincide with this sermon series during January 2025. A link to the book on Amazon is below. For any questions about implementing a study related to the sermon series, please use the button below to contact Pat Hill, Small Group Coordinator.

Christmas Eve Services

Tuesday at 4:30 PM & 7 PM

This Christmas Eve, join us for an unforgettable evening of worship, music, and reflection as we celebrate the birth of Christ together. Our annual Candlelight Service is a cherished tradition that offers a peaceful and joyous way to prepare your heart for Christmas. The service will feature the glorious sounds of the Chancel Choir, Brass Ensemble, and talented soloists. Together, they will lead us in singing beloved Christmas carols such as “Away in a Manger,” “Silent Night,” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.” This vibrant musical celebration will uplift your spirit and remind you of the true joy of the season.

Celebrate the wonder of Christ’s birth with traditional Gospel readings that bring the nativity story to life. Rev. Harold Hendren will deliver a heartfelt Christmas Eve message, sharing the hope and light of the Savior’s arrival and its significance for us today.

We encourage you to invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join us for this special service. Whether it’s your first time attending or a beloved part of your family’s Christmas tradition, this night promises to be meaningful and memorable. Come, let us gather as a church family to worship, celebrate, and rejoice in the greatest gift of all—our Savior, Jesus Christ. We look forward to welcoming you!

Financial Update

New Covenant’s commitment to stewardship has always been strong. Our finance team and staff continue to be grateful for your sacrificial giving. Paying off our $7.5 million dollar debt in less than 10 years and meeting this year’s $500,000 renovation goal reflects a high level of financial commitment. As we have come to the end of this year, we wanted to update you on where we are financially regarding our general budget. Although we are currently behind in our “giving to expenditure” ratio, we have high hopes that we can finish the year on a positive note. Thank you for your continued support of all our ministries that are having a lasting impact in our community and around the world. Your giving is making a difference. Thank you!

Year-end Considerations

As we wrap up the end of 2024, we’d encourage you, if you have not already done so, to create a user name and password on your portal account. Please click the button below for a tutorial on how to access your portal and print your own contribution statement. This will allow you to check your giving statement for the year and if you find anything that needs to be corrected, please contact the Finance office and they will assist you.
