Spiritual Reflection

“Most people are willing to take the Sermon on the Mount as a flag to sail under, but few will use it as a rudder by which to steer.”

Ministry Focus

Mike Williams, Christian Comedian

Friday, January 17 at 6 PM in the Christian Life Center

Get ready for an evening of laughter, inspiration, and heartfelt stories as we welcome acclaimed Christian comedian Mike Williams. Known as a "hilarious storyteller, songwriter, and theologian," Mike Williams defies stereotypes. With over three decades of ministry experience, countless TV and radio appearances, and recognition as the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award-winning Comedian of the Year, Mike's credentials speak volumes. His comedy specials have been featured on Dry Bar and Bananas TV, and his works are regularly aired on SiriusXM. Beyond his humor, Mike has authored 20 books, including a marriage guide co-written with his wife of 38 years, Terica.

Mike's life story is as inspiring as his humor. As a rescued child from an inner-city background, he now uses his platform to inspire others, sharing his journey of faith, adoption, and resilience. In 2010, he and his family launched Cups Mission, an outreach serving trafficked children and impoverished communities in places like the Dominican Republic, Malawi, and Mexico City. His mission has grown to include schools, churches, and full-time staff dedicated to serving those in need.

Join us for an unforgettable evening that promises to leave you laughing, inspired, and encouraged. This special performance is free and open to the public, with a love offering collected to support his ongoing mission work.

General Announcements

Giving is About the Heart

It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35)

We are not called to give an identical offering and shouldn’t judge others based on how much or little they’re able to give. Neither should we feel guilty or compelled to give out of obligation. Jesus and His disciples saw the widow who put small copper coins in the offering box and Jesus highlighted the poor widow’s sacrifice.

In this 7-session, video-based study, Jennifer Rothschild explores the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. She will separate what’s true about Heaven from what’s based on legend, media depictions, and hopeful guesses. As you walk through the study, you'll not only gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children, but also learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits. Don't just wonder about Heaven—embrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.

Stephen Ministry

New Covenant is proud to be a Stephen Ministry congregation! Stephen Ministers receive over 50 hours of training to be able to walk alongside you during some of the challenges of life. Our Stephen Ministers provide one-on-one training for those who may be experiencing some difficulties in life such as loneliness, grief, illness, and more. The entire process is completely confidential – no one knows if you have a Stephen Minister unless you share.

If you have a desire to have an extension of the pastors, that will listen to you, pray with you, and care for you, please contact Pastor Ellen.
