Legacy Giving Seminar
Wednesday, March 8 at 10 AM in the Fellowship Center
Giving to the Kingdom of God is part of our Christian calling, Christian commitment, and church membership vows. Christian stewardship is vital to our church and growing the Kingdom. What if you could continue to give to the Kingdom of God and your church beyond your living years here on earth? John Peterson, from the United Methodist Foundation, will help us navigate that thought at this Legacy Giving Seminar.
His discussion will include Wills, Trusts, Charitable Gift annuities, giving through your IRA, etc. This is not a sales meeting but an opportunity to learn more about how your legacy can continue to impact ministry.
Registration is requested. If you need assistance registering, please contact the Church Office at (352) 750-4529.

Pastor Harold will be the keynote speaker at our upcoming Terrific Tuesday events. Each evening, Pastor Harold will teach on the Journeys of Paul. Come join us for a warm evening of food, fellowship and lessons from Paul.

For The Fruit Of All Creation
For The Fruits Of His Creation, Thanks Be To God;
For The Gifts To Every Nation, Thanks Be To God;
For The Plowing, Sowing, Reaping,
Silent Growth While Men Are Sleeping,
Future Needs In Earth’s Safe Keeping, Thanks Be To God!
In The Just Reward Of Labor, God’s Will Is Done;
In The Hope We Give Our Neighbor, God’s Will Is Done;
In Our Worldwide Take Of Caring
For The Hungry And Despairing,
In The Harvests Men Are Sharing, God’s Will Is Done.
The repeated phrases of this hymn — “thanks be to God” and “God’s will is done” — underscore the essential elements of Christian stewardship: our offering of gratitude and service to God.

Important Safety Information
New Covenant recently had a Fire Inspection and learned that we are out of compliance with the door stops on the doors within the Church and the Administration Building. We know this is very inconvenient for each of us; however, this is a fire code compliance issue and we must remove all the stops from the doors. We will continue to reflect our core value of hospitality by holding the doors for others as we continue to navigate this change. We appreciate your understanding of this safety requirement.

God Is Like a Box of Crayons
Fridays, beginning March 10 from 9:30-11:00 AM in Classroom 2
Without light, there is no color. An object appears colored because of the way it interacts with light. The color itself comes from the light. The blue crayon is only blue because of the wavelength of light that is present, absorbed, and reflected off the crayon. Matthew 24 says, “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world.” We are God’s crayons! He wants us to color this world by shining light on every part. Our mission is to color the entire world.
Each week we will read and share a devotion about one of 30 colors. Then we will color and converse, just getting to know other "bluetiful" women as we color together.
Bring your own colored pencils, gel pens, etc. and come, color with us! Cost of the book is $6. To register, please contact Roberta Hays.

Prayer
Prayer is an important component of our journey as followers of Jesus Christ. We have several ways for you to share your prayer needs with the pastors and staff, plus the Praying Together Team. You can complete a Prayer Request Card and and place it in a submission box found at all the entrances to the Christian Life Center, Fellowship Center, Chapel, Welcome Center, Care office, and Administration office. You may also complete a prayer request online which emails the Care office immediately, or you can call the church office at (352) 750-4529 and the Care office will be glad to receive your prayer concern. We want to be able to pray with you for the things that are close to your heart. The Praying Together Team is always welcoming new people to pray over the requests; they meet every Wednesday at 2:45 PM in Classroom 14.
