Key Announcements

The Chosen

Tuesday, September 29 at 3:00 PM

We are excited to continue showing and discussing episodes of “The Chosen”, a multi-season series depicting the life and ministry of Jesus Christ through the eyes of those who knew him.

"The Chosen" returns with Season 4. Break-out discussions are planned to run until 5PM in the Chapel. There are eight episodes in season 4 and a schedule of classes will be handed out during this class. Participants may attend any class as they are able.

Season 4 of "The Chosen" follows the final year of Jesus’ ministry, highlighting growing opposition, pivotal miracles, and the transformation of His disciples. The season explores clashing kingdoms and rival rulers, as Jewish religious leaders ally with Roman authorities to oppose Jesus’ growing influence. The disciples struggle to keep pace with His mission, while Jesus bears the weight of His ministry largely alone.

Come see how Jesus establishes His church and how the disciples grow a deeper understanding of His mission. Registration is not required.

If you have any questions, please contact Pat Hill, Care Coordinator - Discipleship.

The Belonging Project
Finding Your Tribe and Learning to Thrive

Mondays, October 5 – October 26: 4:30 – 6:00 PM

“The Belonging Project” by Amberly Neese is a four-week video-based Bible study built around four ‘one another’ commands in the New Testament: love one another, serve one another, build up and strengthen one another, forgive one another. Not as a checklist. As a road map for building the kind of community most of us have stopped believing is possible.

You did everything right. So why does it feel so wrong?

The perfect marriage. The well-behaved kids. The Instagram-worthy life. And yet you’re exhausted, lonely, and quietly wondering if this is really all there is. You’re not failing. But something’s missing. And you already know it isn’t more stuff.

Please Register your attendance.

Facilitator: Dana Osmanski

The book may be purchased through Amazon.

If you have any questions, please contact Pat Hill, Care Coordinator - Discipleship.

General Announcements

Tithing

Bring the whole tithe into the warehouse, so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10)

This verse is about tithing. Tithing is giving one-tenth of your income to God. This verse encourages people to give their full tithe so that there will be enough food in God’s house. It also says that if people do this, God will bless them in abundance.

Spirited Singles & Friends Begin New Study

Sunday, September 13 at 10:15 AM

"How Happiness Happens" by Max Lucado is a 6-week video-based study on “Happiness”! Our culture tries to convince us there is one way to happiness: aspire, acquire, desire, retire! Happiness depends on what we hang in our closet, park in our garage and deposit in our bank account. This is a path that always fails to deliver. In this study we will look at several “one another” statements in the Bible that reveal how the happiest people on earth aren’t those who have the most but those who are willing to give the most away.

God wants to bring joy to the people of this generation, and in his Word, he has given us practical and applicable ways to work on that joy and happiness by sharing it with others. All are welcome!

For any questions, please contact Pat Hill, Care Coordinator - Discipleship.

Terrific Tuesdays this Fall

Tuesday, September 22 from 4:45 PM – 7 PM

Join us for our Terrific Tuesdays this fall as Pastor Harold takes us on a "Journey Through the Book of James." The Book of James is a practical New Testament letter that focuses on living out a genuine Christian faith through concrete actions rather than passive belief. Widely believed to be written by James, the brother of Jesus and leader of the early church in Jerusalem, this epistle serves as a direct, punchy guide to spiritual maturity and everyday wisdom.

The book of James highlights themes that we all can relate to in life such as faith and works, trials and perseverance, taming the tongue, and humility vs. favoritism.

This three-part series will help us explore the key components, according to James, to a deeper richer life. As James challenges us, "Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds, because the testing of your faith produces perseverance." (James 1:1-2)

An exciting journey through Scripture awaits!

For any questions, please contact Ashley Hill, First Impressions Manager.

Remembering the Forgotten God

Join best-selling author, Francis Chan as he offers a 7-week in-depth video study on the true source of the Churches power - the Holy Spirit.

As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Despite this, Chan contends we have neglected the Spirit for far too long.

This study includes thoughts on: I’ve got Jesus – why do I need the Holy Spirit, what are you afraid of, theology of the Holy Spirit 101, why do you want the Holy Spirit, building a real relationship, remembering His will for YOUR life and building a supernatural church.

Remembering the Forgotten God offers a compelling invitation to understand, embrace and follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives.

Join us to learn more about the Holy Spirit and how to build a stronger relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Please Register your attendance.

October Women's Gathering

Thursday, October 15 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM

Blessed are the Peacemakers: Matthew 5:9 The Sermon on the Mount

Women have always been peacemakers in families and communities. Today we want to also recognize women as “PIECEMAKERS”.  Women made quilts, clothing, embroidery, and lace. We need to recognize ourselves as co-creators using our own creativity and talents given to us by God. We need to share the talents we have inherited and gain appreciation of other women’s gifts; especially those of our ancestors.

What passes from generation to generation is a scared trust. Ties that hold generations together over time are precious and fragile. We need to nurture them.

Have you been given a keepsake from your grandmother or mother? Do you have something to pass along to children, grandchildren, or a friend. Are you a piece maker, poet, artist, or have a favorite Bible verse or a favorite hobby?

Please join us at the October Women’s Gathering to share and celebrate our ancestors and our heritage.

Our October Mission: Families in Transition

Women's ministry has decided this season to concentrate their mission emphasis on helping our local women and children who are in need.

A surprising number of children in our surrounding area go to school without underpants or socks. This month we will collect new packaged underpants and socks for children from toddler through 12th grade. We will have containers available when you arrive. Our giving baskets will also be on the tables for those who would rather not shop. Thank you for helping our local children in need.

Registration is required. Please register by October 8, 2026.

Menu: Chicken cutlets, oven roasted baby potatoes, green beans almondine, rolls, and special dessert

Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

If you have any questions, please contact Pat Hill, Care Coordinator - Discipleship.

Celebration Brass Band Fall Concert

Sunday, November 22 at 6:00 PM

Join the Celebration Brass Band for an evening of stirring marches, Broadway favorites, featured soloists, and the rich sound of brass and percussion. Led by Conductor Lewis Buckley and Assistant Conductor Christopher Priest, this British-style brass band brings warmth, brilliance, and a wide range of musical expression to the concert stage. Rooted in the British brass band tradition, the ensemble’s distinctive instrumentation offers a sound audiences have come to love.

The program will showcase the variety of the brass band repertoire, with selections ranging from The Phantom of the Opera and music by George Gershwin to John Williams’ Olympic Fanfare and the familiar favorite Ticket to Ride. Stirring marches and Lewis Buckley’s transcription of the beautiful choral work Salvation Is Created will further highlight the ensemble’s versatility.

Two featured soloists will add to the evening’s musical variety. CBB President and Principal Cornet Greg Weber will perform A Trumpeter’s Lullaby. Principal E-flat Tuba Kevin Blackstock, Director of Bands at The Villages Charter School, will be featured in Celestial Morn, showcasing the lyrical and expressive possibilities of the tuba.

Whether you are a longtime supporter or discovering the Celebration Brass Band for the first time, this concert offers something for everyone. Come enjoy an evening of musical favorites and fresh discoveries as we welcome the band for its 2026 Fall Concert.

25th Anniversary Reflection:
From Grief to Healing

As we draw closer to New Covenant’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the many memories, moments, and blessings that have shaped our church family over the years.

New Covenant Values: Caring and Spiritual Growth

In 2004, Dottie Barron, New Covenant’s Care Coordinator, discovered a ministry called GriefShareR. At that time, no other church in The Villages was known to be offering the program. Dottie recognized that people in our growing community needed more than sympathy following the death of a spouse or loved one. They needed a safe place where they could speak honestly about their grief, receive practical help, draw upon their faith, and walk alongside others who understood the journey.

To begin New Covenant’s first group, Dottie needed someone whose spouse had died at least five years earlier and who could offer support from personal experience. She invited Alice Fowler, who met that qualification, to help launch the ministry.

After Dottie left New Covenant for another position, Alice continued facilitating the group with the help of Rita Rider. Together, they provided a place of understanding and hope for people experiencing some of life’s most painful losses.

What began as one person discovering a program and recognizing a need grew into an important ministry at New Covenant and throughout the surrounding community. Over the years, GriefShare has helped countless people understand that grief does not need to be carried alone.

This is how many enduring ministries begin—not with a large committee or an elaborate plan, but with someone who notices a need and asks, “What can we do?” Dottie found the resource. Alice and Rita answered the call to serve. Together, they planted something that continued to grow and minister to people long after its beginning.

As we celebrate New Covenant’s 25th anniversary, we honor Dottie for bringing GriefShareR to our church, Alice and Rita for helping establish and sustain it, and every facilitator who has offered compassion and hope through the years.

Their story reflects two of New Covenant’s essential values: Caring for people in seasons of pain and encouraging the Spiritual Growth through which sorrow can gradually give way to healing, hope, and renewed purpose.

Memory shared by Alice Fowler, member since 2003.

Do you have a special memory from New Covenant’s first 25 years or a ministry, volunteer, or moment of faithfulness you believe deserves recognition? Please share it with Sean Pollock, Director, Worship & Events as we celebrate the people and stories that have shaped New Covenant.

Prayer Quilts

Jeff & Sandy are seeking healing for their son.

Judy is in need of comfort and help through her grief with the loss of her husband.

Nancy is in need of healing of her damaged vertebrae.

Roberta needs prayers to regain her strength to help with her heart problems.

We request your prayers for these prayer quilts. Please click on the quilt to be taken to our Facebook Page, where you can "Like" the post to virtually tie a knot. Prayer quilts are made by a dedicated group in our church and throughout our community who envision the quilts being a special gift of love for people experiencing life-changing challenges. If you would like to order a prayer quilt, please click the button below.

Every Wednesday, faithful prayer warriors gather to review the prayer requests submitted by our congregants. They carefully pray for each request with intention and petition. This group has great dedication, but they need some help. We need more people who are willing to spend some time in prayer. You do not need to pray big, elaborate prayers, but just be present.

This group meets in Classroom 14 each Wednesday at 2:45 - 3:45 PM.

Anyone can submit a prayer concern or praise by prayer cards on campus or by submitting one through our website.
