From Pastor Jason
Dear Creekside Family,

In these troubling and unprecedented times, let us first remember the words of our Lord Jesus, who said,

"I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid," (John 14:27, NLT).

When it comes to the subject of the Corona Virus, it is hard to separate fact and fear, what is unmerited panic and what is responsible action. But when it comes to the subject of who is ultimately in charge of our lives and this world, there is no doubt. I invite you to reaffirm with me, “All my hope is in Jesus!” In light of that truth, let us pray for one another, help one another as we can, and love our neighbors.

Having typed those vital words, I’m sad to share with you that all worship services and programming at Creekside are cancelled through the end of March. Our Bishop and District Superintendent are asking all United Methodist Churches to go this route. While I do not yet have details, our goal is to provide an online worship experience on each Sunday morning that can be accessed on both our Facebook page and church website ( www.creekside.net). As we live through this peculiar season, please stay close to the Lord. Read your Bibles and pray! Worship together as families, making use of our catalogue of worship services ( https://creekside.net/services/).

Please communicate with me and our staff concerning how we can pray for you and your family. If you are unable to pick up needed groceries or medicine, please let our church know. We will seek to do everything we can to make sure the basic needs of our people and our community are met. Please join us in being the hands and feet of Jesus in that regard for your neighbors.

Finally, please continue to support the ministry of Creekside through your tithes and offerings. If you do not already give online or through your bank’s online bill pay service, you can set up a one-time or recurring gift here ( https://onrealm.org/CreeksideUMC/-/give/now), or you can mail a check to the church office at 673 Peachtree Parkway Cumming, GA 30041. It is critical that we all continue to financially support our Church during this season.

May the peace of Jesus be with you!

Your Pastor,

Jason Danuser
