Dear friends of St Francis parish,
“We are in this together” are the closing words used by the Presiding Bishop, +Michael J. Curry, as he addressed the House of Bishops online yesterday. They met via laptops and computers rather than in person.

“We are in this together” are the words I have proclaimed since the day I began to be your servant leader of this beautiful family of God.  Those words are more important now than ever as we face the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. May the health and strength of one another come from the deepest place of trust in the power and grace of God…with love for you, Paula+

Sunday Worship
You are invited to attend worship this Sunday! Be mindful of social distancing (6 feet between people), but members of the same household may sit together. But in addition, from this Sunday on we will be live-streaming 10:00 a.m. worship. You will be able to follow along with worship via your computer, if for whatever reason you would prefer not to attend in person, or would like to watch again. We will be sending further details on how this will work.
New - Daily Morning Prayer Via Computer
We know that these are difficult and emotionally stressful times for us all, and that it is particularly difficult to have limitations on access to worship in such circumstances.
For this reason we will be holding Morning Prayer online each morning - via your computer. Again - we will be in touch with further information on accessing this.

Chef Robert with Cheryl Gutierrez and Joni McIntyre
Winner of Designs for Dining Dinner for 12 at Mama Terano
The dinner donated by Chef Robert Bell was won by Mr. Steve Cox of Palos Verdes Estates. A backstory to this is the founder of our St.Francis Outreach scholarship fund, Mrs. Joni Mcintyre, gave a Designs for Dining invitation to Mr. Cox—as he is a volunteer with The Village in Palos Verdes Estates. He has given rides to Mrs. Mcintyre for doctors' appointments as a volunteer from this organization. Mr. Cox and his wife Jennifer bought raffle tickets, and Joni is thrilled that he is the winner.

Duruflé’s Requiem Postponed
Dear friends, in light of recommendations from health professionals, the concert at St Peter's By The Sea on March 22, and the Evensong at St Francis on March 29, are being postponed until we know more about the coronavirus in our community. We hope to announce a new date for sharing this beautiful music in several weeks. But in the meantime, why not check out a performance of Durufle’s Requiem online. At this time we could all use some beautiful music to feed our souls.
