HIGH HOLY DAYS 5782
A message from President Jane Neely and Important Rosh Hashanah Links
Dear Friends,

Let’s talk about the letter “C.” The letter “C” is the first letter in COMMUNITY. That is us…Kehillah. Kehillah means community.
Our community came together stronger than ever the last year-and-a- half. We adjusted and adapted. We Zoomed together for Kabbalat Shabbat, Classes, Chats, Holidays, Baby Namings, B’nai Mitzvah, Pesach, Yizkor, and Shiva Minyanim. We supported one another during some difficult times. During these difficult times we showed COMPASSION, compassion to one another. Our congregation will continue to be there for one another as we move forward into 5782. This is our COMMITMENT to you.

We look forward to sharing High Holy Days with you via YouTube. Again this year, Rabbi Sharfman will be coming to you live from our lovely sanctuary. Services will include stunningly beautiful, pre-recorded music from our choir. The YouTube links are below. In the meantime please subscribe to our YouTube channel, Congregation Kehillah Cave Creek and familiarize yourself on how to use and navigate YouTube. It is quite simple, free, and no login or passwords are required.

We are looking to the near future to come together again as a kehillah with fun, new, participatory programs, and of course welcoming Shabbat as a community.

On behalf of Rabbi Sharfman, Renee Joffe, the Board of Directors, and myself, we wish you and your families a happy, healthy and sweet New Year.

Jane Neely
President

Haftarah

The Haftarah will not be chanted live during the service but you may read it in your Machzorim after the service.

In a separate email sent by Renee, we have included three videos:
the blessing before the Haftarah reading;
an introduction recorded by Rabbi; and
the blessing for after the Haftarah.

We are experiencing issues with sending videos and links to some of our members. Please check your spam and trash folders for important messages from us. Please note that the ONLY format we are able to send these videos are .mp3 and .mov formats; we apologize in advance if you are unable to view them or if the email did not make it through your server.

Thank you to Avery and Ella Fleet, for chanting the blessing before Rosh Hashanah Haftarah; and to Jared Erman chanting the blessing after Rosh Hashanah Haftarah.
We look forward to sharing
High Holy Days 5782 with you.
