Glenbard East Families:

As a follow up to my message this past Monday, 3/15, I want to send a reminder that Glenbard East will return to our pre-pandemic 8-period day schedule starting Monday, April 5th. At that time, all hybrid students (A,B,and C) will be switched to in-person learners, and all remote students will remain remote. If you are wanting to change your student(s) learning plan, the deadline to do so is Sunday, March 21st.  
 
In order to change your student’s learning plan for the remainder of the semester please do the following:

  1. Login to PowerSchool Parent
  2. Select your student at the top left
  3. Select Grades and Attendance link located in the left margin
  4. At the top of the screen click on 20-21 April Learning Plan (see images below)
In regards to lunch logistics, we will be communicating more detailed information on Tuesday, 3/23, as the number of in-person learners will have an impact on our plans. That being said, we are committed to adhering to the IDPH guidelines which state that students must maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet when eating and that meals must be provided individually. As a result, we are adjusting the setup of our cafeteria, identifying additional locations, and rethinking our distribution process. 
 
As we prepare for April 5th, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the revised spring semester calendar and school day schedule. Additionally, please make note of the important reminders below:
➢   Hybrid students will attend IN-PERSON each day and will provide weekly saliva samples.
➢   Remote students will remain fully remote each day.
➢   Saliva samples will continue to be collected for remote students involved in athletics and activities.
 
Lastly, I want to encourage all families to make sure your contact information is updated in PowerSchool. There may be some information communicated in the coming days via SchoolMessenger, our primary family notification system (mass calls and emails). Specifically, this information must be added to the “Glenbard Notification Information (Automated)” section of the Demographic Verification page in your Parent PowerSchool account (pictured below) for each of your students.

Familias de Glenbard East:

Siguiendo mi mensaje el pasado lunes,15 de marzo, Glenbard East regresará a nuestro horario de 8 periodos (5 días cada semana) antes de la pandemia a partir del lunes 5 de abril. En ese momento, todos los estudiantes híbridos (A, B y C) se convertirán en estudiantes presenciales y todos los estudiantes remotos permanecerán alejados. Si desea cambiar el plan de aprendizaje de su (s) estudiante (s), la fecha límite para hacerlo es el domingo 21 de marzo.

Para cambiar el plan de aprendizaje de su estudiante para el resto del semestre, haga lo siguiente:

  1. Inicie sesión en PowerSchool (portal de los padres)
  2. Seleccione su estudiante en la parte superior izquierda.
  3. Seleccione el enlace Calificaciones y asistencia ubicado en el margen izquierdo
