COVID-19 Cannot Stop Education
With your support, it won't
As you know schools are closed through May 4th and are likely to stay closed through the rest of the year. Evidence already shows that it is our low-income and English Learner populations that are the most vulnerable. These populations often lack the technological resources, quiet places to study, and have limited access to timely updates. That is why LEAP's work is so important.
We Are Connecting With Students Virtually
  • Moving our College Success Program online to support juniors and seniors so they are on track to apply and attend college.
  • Offering social emotional support through regular check ins with students.
  • Offering weekly mentoring for our male students of color through our Brothers for Success program.
  • Addressing community needs through outreach to our youth's families so they know where to find food and identify other needs.
  • Providing career advising for students as they prepare for their summer jobs, internships, and first jobs.
Your continued generous gifts have allowed us to retain our staff with full pay and benefits to bring these academic, mentoring, and college and career services to our students. Each day our creative thinkers are developing new ways to offer even more academic support and enrichment.
What You Can Do
Your generosity makes these opportunities possible. Please continue to support our fundraising efforts by participating in our virtual Fund-A-Need .
" Three incredibly generous donors have pledged 100% match for up to $30,000 for any of the funds raised. So, please donate , and please do it now. I will thank you, our students will thank you, and their families will thank you."
