I hope your summer has been going great! As we are now within the last 5 months of the 2018 Skål USA EC I wanted to give you some updates and highlights of important upcoming events;

Monthly Webinars;

As you know we have been conducting monthly webinars alternating between Skål USA Presidents and Skål USA Representatives. We have two more to go; next one coming up on August 15th to be conducted by our Dir of Membership Richard Scinta and another one to be conducted by our ISC Holly Powers on September 26th. Please mark your Calendars.

Upcoming Skål USA NCM II - September 14, 2018 - WEBINAR FORMAT

As you know we have our Second National Committee Meeting (NCM) coming up on Friday September 14th, 2018. This will be held again on Webinar platform. Last year we had 95% participation. This year we are hoping to have the same success in participation from our clubs. The meeting is scheduled to start at 3.00 pm US EST and projected to take max 2 hours. Please make sure to decide who will be your Clubs/ representative/ voting delegate at the NCM and have them sign up for the Webinar invitation that will be submitted by Skål USA Administrators. This email will be coming out next week. The preliminary agenda is already posted at Skål USA website in following link: http://Skalusa.org/Skal-usa-board-meetings/ To this meeting participation is limited with 100 only meaning if there are observers they will be registered based on first come first serve basis by Skål USA Admin.

Upcoming Skål International World Congress - 17-21 October 2018 @ Mombasa, Kenya

The 79th SI World Congress is taking place in Mombasa Kenya; at this time, we have a confirmation of 14 Skål USA Clubs to be registered for the World Congress. As being the largest National Committee in Skål World with over 1900 members and 50 Clubs we hope to see more clubs attending to the Congress to represent the maximum number of our membership at the world Congress. If you are still on the fence; need more details or have questions, please feel free to contact me or anyone on the Skål USA EC for any questions.

Job Board for Skål USA Members;

This has been perceived very well from our members; we expect more positions to be posted soon at our Job Platform to be submitted by fellow Skålleagues to be shared with our members who are in transition/ between jobs.

Membership Development Skål USA;

We are very happy to inform you that as of August 1st we have officially launched SI Phoenix (aka Valley of the Sun) with 27 members. The total membership number for Skål USA with this will be increased to 1925. We are expecting to have two more clubs formed before end of the year and hopefully reach the membership numbers of 2000. Our prospect Clubs are;

As the fall season is approaching it is the best time for planning/ organizing the membership recruitment events; I hope you did get a chance to review the email that was sent out by our VP of Membership Dave Ryan and his team listing some tips for the clubs for their recruitments events planning.
