A Message from Our Wardens
This past Sunday we were blessed to celebrate the conclusion of our mutual ministry with Rev. Shirley. Thanks to all who helped with the celebration, and let us all continue praying for Shirley as she continues her ministry with the Diocese of Virginia.

THANK YOU FROM SHIRLEY
Shirley extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone for such a lovely display of ministry together in her final weeks. She was touched by your prayers, notes, gifts, and well-wishes. Your generous gifts to her purse were so appreciated by her and she offers humble thanks.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Vestry met with Rev. Canon Abbott Bailey on March 9 to have a preliminary conversation on the transition process. We are working with Rev. Canon Bailey to call an Interim Rector, who will serve with us until we complete the discernment process. We will have more information on this call soon.

We will also be looking for volunteers from the Christ Church congregation to serve on the Discernment Committee. The Committee will work through the process, as outlined by the Diocese of Virginia, to call our new Rector. This is an important part of our future together, and we are hoping that you will prayerfully consider serving. While the committee will not be large, we would like it to be diversely reflective of our congregation as a whole.

If you think you may feel called to serve on the Discernment Committee, please click the link at the bottom of this email to submit an interest form. We ask that you indicate your interest no later than April 11.

Please keep Christ Church, our future Interim Rector, and our future Rector in your prayers.

Scott Arnold, Jr. Warden
