Good Morning Valued Chamber Member,
Happy Independence Day!
Tomorrow, we will celebrate the 244th birthday of the United States of America! Although our celebrations will have a different look and feel about them from previous years, what will not, and has not, changed is the spirit for which we celebrate. As in other times in our nation’s history, we have been faced with challenging times, and we have come together united as one nation to overcome them.
From our humbling beginnings in 1776, the fortitude and the determination of the American spirit has been strong and unwavering. As you celebrate this 4
th
of July with friends, family and loved ones, please take a minute to remember and reflect on how truly fortunate we are to be able to celebrate our independence and freedom, and how many have given the ultimate sacrifice for us to be able to do so. Because of them, and our free enterprise system, anyone and any business can achieve the American dream.
Also while you are celebrating, please remember that our first responders, health care workers and active military will be working -
separated from their families -
helping to keep us safe. We owe it to them, as well as each other, to practice social distancing, wash our hands frequently and wear facial coverings when deemed necessary or required.
On behalf of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, the Chamber Team and myself, I hope you find joy and peace during this holiday weekend.
With a Grateful Heart for the Greatest Nation,
