Under the vision, direction and leadership of Dean Fletcher, the College of Pharmacy opened the new UNMC Center for Drug Discovery - Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education, a $35 million building entirely constructed through private giving.
The 85,000 square foot building hosts state of the art laboratory and research space equipped with next- generation technology and simulation and experiential-learning tools for drug discovery and development, drug delivery and clinical and translational research, with an emphasis on emerging and neglected infectious diseases.

Increasing annual grant submissions by 162 percent, annual publications by 53 percent, as well as annual invention notifications by 93 percent.

Averaging 98.6 percent over the past five years for pharmacy students passing the licensure exam on their first attempt, one of the highest pass rates in the country.
Becoming the first college of pharmacy in the U.S. to develop an affiliation with the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) for the PharmD program and the first to graduate a CSC student.
This is the first year the UNMC College of Pharmacy has achieved AACP top ten ranking in total dollars and our tenth year in a row ranking in the top 10 in dollars per faculty FTE.
