Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
das Generalkonsulat Boston freut sich mitzuteilen, dass es in Absprache mit dem Auswärtigen Amt möglich ist, einen Sonderkurier für den Versand Ihrer Wahlunterlagen von und nach Deutschland zu nutzen.
Wahlunterlagen müssen sich in einem gesonderten und verschlossenen Umschlag befinden, der deutlich als Wahlsache gekennzeichnet ist und den Namen des Wahlberechtigten enthält. Dieser Umschlag wird verschlossen in einem weiteren Briefumschlag mit folgender Adressierung durch die Wahlämter versendet an:

Wenn Sie sich dafür entscheiden, den amtlichen Kurierweg zu nutzen, bitte melden Sie sich über dieses Kontaktformular
Voraussichtlich werden zwischen dem Eintreffen der Briefwahlunterlagen in Boston und dem Wahltermin nur wenige Tage liegen. Es wird in diesem Fall sehr kurzfristig erforderlich sein, dass Sie die Briefwahlunterlagen in Empfang nehmen, um Sie auszufüllen und zurück zum Wahlamt zu versenden.
Briefwahlunterlagen können am Generalkonsulat Boston ausschließlich persönlich abgeholt werden.
Ausgefüllte Wahlunterlagen, die bis spätestens 17.02.2025, 14:00 Uhr im Generalkonsulat persönlich abgegeben werden, können für einen Sonderkurier zurück nach Deutschland berücksichtigt werden. Sie werden in Berlin in die Post gegeben.
Für eine rechtzeitige Zustellung Ihrer Unterlagen in Ihren jeweiligen Wahllokalen kann aber leider keine Gewähr übernommen werden.
Bitte prüfen Sie daher auch die Nutzung aller privaten und kommerziellen Möglichkeiten der Mitnahme und Versendung von Wahlunterlagen.

Deutsche im Ausland
Wählen kann nur, wer in ein Wählerverzeichnis eingetragen ist. Deutsche im Ausland, die nicht in Deutschland gemeldet sind, bezeichnet man auch als Auslandsdeutsche. Sie werden nicht von Amts wegen in ein Wählerverzeichnis eingetragen. Wollen Auslandsdeutsche an Bundestagswahlen teilnehmen, müssen sie vor jeder Wahl einen schriftlichen Antrag auf Eintragung in das Wählerverzeichnis der zuständigen Gemeinde stellen.
